Congratulations Sarah, what great news. I am so happy for you and know that your excited. I received a call from my surgeon's office today and it looks like I have a potential problem. I started out wanting the RNY and changed to the lap band so the surgeon has to call my insurance provider to make sure they understand. I sure hope they don't change my approval. Cross you fingers for me, please.

I start a 10 day liquid diet this coming Saturday (12/29). Surgery on 1/8/08!!! Not looking forward to the pre op liquid diet thing...ugh! Colleen

Hi All... I am new to this forum, but my surgery date is scheduled for Jan. 14th. It's so nice to know I'm not all alone!!

My date is January 9th in Dallas. I go from being really excited to hyperventilating. Sometimes I am so comfortable with my decision then 5 minutes later I think " What the heck were you thinking!!!". I think it is good to have the surgery at the 1st of the year. To me it almost seems like a new beginning. I am going to my friend's annual New Year's Eve party next week and I keep trying to think about the little black dress I will be wearing next year!!! I started my 2 week pre-op diet today. 2 protein drinks and a Lean Cuisine. That should be a real shock to my system after the last couple of weeks! Hi Debbie- Yep, only 13 days and counting! I'm doing the liquid diet thang...argghhh..christmas was way too bad for me...gained about 6 pounds so I need to lose that plus at least 5 more..LOL anyway, congrats on your date, will be there with ya! Kelly
