Hello Everyone, My name is Cindy and I am scheduled to have my gastric bypass surgery on January 24, 2008. I am very excited to have it, I feel it is time I make a change and take control of the one chance I will get to begin a healthy lifestyle. I'm 43 years old and my current weight is 311. Im a little scared about the surgery but the good outweighs the bad. I would love to hear from anyone who has had this surgery so I know what I am in for, whether good or not so good. I've been reading and looking up all the information I can on this...but I would really like to hear from someone who has had it done first hand. Thank you...Cindy

My pre-surgery diet is going okay. Fine except for the protien shakes the doctor gave me to drink. I gag everytime I drink them. Christmas went fine. I ate the meat and green beans. It was hard at first, but just thinking about how much better I will feel and look it made it okay. Also the b/c pills I had to start back on has made me ill too. I have to take them though. No babies for a couple of years if then.Thanks for the inspiration.. Tina
