Topic: Terrified!!
I got my surgery date today(jan. 7th) and i am terrified! I think i am more nervous than anything. I have been waiting and waiting and now it is finally here and I freak out~~typical me. I thought I would be relieved to finally have a date. Did anyone else feel like this or am I just nuts!

I am having RNY on the 14th. I had my preop appointment with my surgeon yesterday. I have about 103 lbs to get to my goal and she said that because I am on the smaller side (bless her! LOL) that she doesnt require me to do the liquid diet. She only has some patients do it because they would benefit greatly from losing some weight before surgery, shrink the liver, etc. I am sure we all could benefit from losing some weight before surgery LOL But I am thankful I do not have to do it. I will do a liquid diet the day before along with a fleet prep kit to clean me out. Fun.

I had my preop appoint at the hospital and with my surgeon yesterday. I was so nauseated and worried on my drive down. It was weird because I didnt think I was nervous at all! After talking to my doc and getting lots of details, I feel much better and am R E A D Y for next Monday to get here. Whew.
Topic: MISERABLE stupid medifast!
Ok so I am on the medifast/liquid diet, I cheated today a little bit and now I am freaking out hes going to have to cut open my stomach...but some people don't have to do this at all?! I WANT TO KNOW WHYYYY haha I need that doctor..I know losing isnt a bad thing but I am seriously starving! Anyone else feel the same?!

I have been looking and reading and it would seem that i should have been paying more attention to what was said to me.
I 'm getting a bit worried that I will miss eating food, not quantaties just food in general.
O.K. you see I've had this love afair with food for a long time and while I never ever considered myself an got to eat everything in sight kinda person, I'm wondering what is a good pace to add things back into your pouch slowly and what is a good food east to digest. How big it too big for you pouch and what about pills such as tylenol etc
Well I quess I have a lot to ask my doctor and nurses.

I'm actually having a good time with the liquid diet. Don't get me wrong - it was hard in the first few days because I started around Christmas time. New Year's Eve was hard, too. I'm not hungry AT ALL, just occassional cravings. I make meals for my family and don't mind cooking, even not being able to sample!

Congratulations! You're officially on the losers bench! I hope you get some answers to your questions - I've still got a week or so to go before my surgery!
I'm glad you're home and healthy! Our first January surgery!

I am still excited about my accomplishment. I just made it home today. However, I am pretty bloated and uncomfortable. Has anyone elxe experienced this?

Hang in There!!! My surgery date is Jan. 10 but I actually started this process 15 months ago! BCBS is covering my surgery but I had to jump through all their hoops. They were sticklers. I know at times it is frustrating and disheartening but stay on it. Dont give up! My prayers are with you!
