Topic: RE: Slow weightloss
Hi Yvette: I found this posted on the WLS grad board. Good luck to you! There are some clinical trials currently enrolling for persons who have had gastric bypass and have either (1) not lost sufficient weight, or (2) gained back some weight over time. I fit in the second category, and am in the process of being assessed for enrollment in a study at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore (there are 10 sites current enrolling throughout the country). Check out this website: http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT00394212?recr=open&intr=%22gastric+bypass%22 There are other studies going on, as well as revision surgeries if you qualify with a high enough BMI. Go over to the "revision" message board on this site and you'll find several threads about them (StomaPhyx, Restore, eRose). I hope you find this information helpful.

Julie - best of luck on your surgery - it is the best thing you can do for yourself. Relax and take it easy and then you can enjoy the rest of your life. I had surgery 1 year ago today ( 1/8/08) and it has been an amazing journey. I wish you the best...... Marta

Topic: Just had VSG - slight fever
I had VSG 1-3-08, Thursday. I have a very slight fever of 99.3. Is that a bad thing? Should I be worried? Is this just a normal part of the deal? What should I do?

Topic: RE: Bowel Cleanse
I had to do a bowel cleanse for a colonoscopy and let me tell you.....there is no way you want to go more than 15 ft from your bathroom never mind leave the house! Also, buy some baby wipes! Good luck...I'll be doing mine on the 20th! Cheryl
