Topic: Has THIS happened to anyone else???????

I am scheduled to have the Gastric Sleeve surgery on January 14th - That is just 24 hours away! I have done all my tests, and I have an approval letter from insurance company. Friday evening the Hospital notified my surgeon and advised him that they would not allow him to perform the procedure unless I was willing to sign a waiver assuming financial responsibility if they have trouble collecting from my insurance. Another patient who has the same insurance as I do had this procedure done 5 weeks ago, and they do not want to perform my procedure until they see if they get paid for her. This is crazy !!!! P.S. I do not plan on signing ANYTHING! :-S

I was really nauseas in the hosp after surgery My Dr prescribed this patch for motion sickness that goes behind your ear OMG that worked so well. Hope that helps you.

I am starting 2 get a lil nervous. I try not 2 think about it 2 much, but how can i not? I have several coworkers who had the RNY, so they have been helping me prepare 4 everything from what I need 2 buy & what 2 expect. I wish u LUCK & a Speedy recovery!

Topic: January 23, 2008- The day I start my new life!!!!

My surgery is on 1/23/2008. I am so excited and scared at the same time. I know that my life will change forever and I really am looking forward to being healthier and losing weight, but I am scared at the same time to let go of the person I've become for so many years. I know her and I know what makes her happy...FOOD. I must get to know myself all over again and find out what truly makes me happy. Wish me luck. Pray for me. :-)
