Yeah, I weighed. I am down 14 since the day of surgery. I get to go on Wednesday and I hope to get passed off to stage 3. I am sick of shakes.

Topic: UTAH COUNTY SUPPORT GROUP
Moved here from Los Angeles 5 months ago, and haven't found a support group here. I'm willing to start one that meets twice a month if there are people interested in coming. I'm looking into locations that would be convenient ( pardon the spelling) for anyone. if interested email me directly at [email protected] or respond on here. Thanks

Awesome and best of luck~ How are you feeling today and are you experiencing any challenges. I am nearly 2 weeks post op and each day gets better. The diet is going well, the weight is coming off and I am able to sleep better each day.

Interesting. I gained 9 lbs from the hospital stay and was discouraged. Are you now in the loser's streak?. With the 9 pound weight gain, I lost a total of 21 lbs or you could say 12 pounds (net) since Surgery. I know that she said not to weigh yourself until it's been 30 days, but I was anxious. I am so looking forward to my visit my surgeon tomorrow and he will be progressing me to stage 3 of my diet. Woo Hoo~

Topic: RE: 1 week out
Hi there, Erin~ I am close to 2 weeks post op and I have been creative with the shakes. I am not a milk drinker so I substituted with soy milk. Here are the ones I have tried thus far: Chocolate/Banana - 1/2 banana 1 scoop chocolate protein powder 1 8oz of Chocolate Soy Milk 1 cup of ice Yum Strawberry Sorbet Fat Free strawberry yogurt Vanilla Soy Milk Ice - 1 cup Unjury Strawberry Sorbet Protein powder These are both tasty and you cannot taste the protein powder. I have 1 a day and they are quite filling too. Best of luck.

Thanks I really feel great, except for pain from a previous neck injury. Hard to beleive I had surgery just a few days ago. How everyone else is doing as good. I must say the hardest thing was the IV in the hand. Bernadette

Topic: Surgery scheduled 1/29/08.......
I am very excited and nervous about this surgery. I talked to the doctor and his staff and asked my questions but the answers I get are the standard ones. For anyone out there based on your experiences can you give me a for instance on what I can expect immediately following surgery concerning recovery time? walking? food? complicationns? Any advice? Thanks, K
