I seem to be stuck too!!! My surgery was 1/21/08, if I count my weight before I started my pre-op diet, I'm down 72lbs, but if I count from my surgery date, I'm down 51lbs! It's getting frustrating now after the weight just fell off up to now!!! As far as a favorite food....I'm the Stricture girl, so anything I can keep down is GREAT!!! By the way, I'm doing very well after the last procedure, no throwing up.....keeping my fingers crossed that this is it!!!

I just had my 3 month surgiversary and I am down 70 pounds. I am in a stall right now and I have noticed it started when I first got sick. Once I was able to eat I dropped almost 10 pounds and now I am stalled again since I am sick once again.
My fav thing to eat is anything that goes down. LOL Right now I am craving fresh fruits and those go down good for me. ***mutters stupid esophgeal web***

hi! I am about two weeks shy of 3 months and I am down 61lbs. BUT..I too appear to have hit a stall. I felt like stomping my feet today when I looked at the scale. I mean, what else can I do? I eat below 800 cals, I work out every day, and I am stalling???? But...I know its common, I know it happens, so I am not gonna freak out...I really am not. I am just gonna keep on truckin and hope that more weight loss is to come...cuz i have a lonnnnngg way to go!

I'm just wondering where everyone is at on the weight loss front. I am a week shy of my 3 month surgiversary and am down 57lbs as of today. How is everyone else doing so far? I'm stuck in a stall right now (rolls eyes) but I'm trying to truck through it. Haven't had any food problems yet.
Oh, and right now my favorite thing to eat is sliced strawberries tossed in Splenda and then poured over cottage cheese. Oooh, YUM!

my dr was stuck in surgery and cancelled my appt. I had a meeting with him last night and found out he was on call and asked him if he would end up cancelling again on Tuesday. He asked what was wrong and we talked about it. Turns out I didn't have a stricture at all, I have an esophigeal web and he said it was a birth defect. Same symptoms as you guys just different cause.

Hey Tracie, sounds like you, me and Kathy (who also posted) are triplets! I let it go so long after my surgery because I thought the throwing was something I was doing wrong until I was down my mom's on Easter Sunday and I started throwing up even water and black stuff which was blood from the ulcers I developed from all the throwing up, I got scoped the next Wednesday and all was well for about 2 weeks then went downhill fast. I called my doc this past friday and since I was still keeping down water, they didn't admit me and did the scope as an outpatient procedure yesterday. I am keeping foods down again, just going slow, but my surgeon said it could even come back again, he said he's never had to do it more than 3 times....I just pray it doesn't come back! Definately we are not taking in enough calories, our bodies are in starvation mode and holding onto everything it can, so frustrating. I just want to feel good again and not tired and pukey! Take care and keep me posted!!!!

Oh thank you Kathy, I thought I was the only one! Yepper, Easter Sunday was my first land in the ER too and they did the same thing CT scan and rehydrated me and sent me on my way, well, monday morning I called the surgeon and they admitted me and did the scope thingy and I was feeling great for almost 2 weeks and then bam, it hit me again with the dry heaves and really throwing up after I would eat anthing. I was scoped and dialated again yesterday as an outpatient and stuff is going back down but my surgeon said it could even come back again, he said he's never had to dialate someone more than 3 times...I really hope it doesn't come down to that, I hope this is done!!! My breath was horrible, as per my son, I'm so worried about my teeth with all this throwing up I've done!!! I am down 70lbs also now as of yesterday, that's the only good thing!!! Hang in there, keep in touch, let me know how your appointment went!!!!!
