I just scheduled my RNY surgery today for January 7, 2008! I, too, had business constraints for taking the time off before the end of the year. Hard to wrap up the books if you can't bend over to get the files!

Hi amy! Good luck to you as well. I'm not on the liquid diet yet. I'm just soo worried that I will be denied. 
. The recept originally gave me 12/18 for surgery but since i'm not done w/ the supervised diet...she gave me a later date. I'm nervous as heck. My vitamin D levels are too low, so i'm on vita d pills until surgery. Keep us posted!

Thanks to all of you who have had to postpone your surgery for whatever reason or had to reschedule due to health issues. I also had to reschedule from Nov. 15th to Jan. 8th.
I have been so down and sad about my date changing and then I go on here and read what all of you fine people have said it has made me look at this time in a different light. I have been very prayerful that this was the right decision for me and it seemed that it was because everything was going so smoothly and then this snag. BUT, I know see that it was God saying "not yet" and now I will be even more healthy when I come out of the surgery so a BIG thank you to all of my fellow January re-birthday friends!
Good luck with the rest of you process. I'll see you on the losers bench on 1/8/08!!

We are going to be re-birthday twins!! My surgery was rescheduled for Jan. 8, 08. I was originally supposed to have it Nov. 15th but after I had my EGD done they found a little gastric erosion so now I'm on Aciphex for 6 weeks. But I'm still excited about my January date!! Good luck on your diet! I had to do the 6 month diet also.

I have finally taken the steps to schedule surgery and begin the adventure. I am lucky since my dear friend is paying for the surgery, I don't have long to wait. The problem is which procedure do I choose: RUNY or Gastric Sleeve? Any ideas or comments as to what would be better? Either way, I am going to have access to drop at least one person size from my body....

Finally got a call from the receptionist, my surgery date is 1/8/08! My 6 month supervised diet ends Dec 20th, so finally! I'm praying once everything is submitted i'm good to go! Good luck to everyone!

My date is Jan 14 and Im obsessing about any weight gain until then, I was told if I gain he will cancell my surgery I am on the pity pot

Hi gals, so nice to meet you all! It looks like I will be having RNY, as my appeal for VSG was denied. I am bummed, but ready to move on. I am trusting God that this is the right surgery for me. I have already had my consult with my hospital's bariatric surgery coordinator to get my "owner's manual" for my new body, AKA the rules book. So, I will start buying my vitamins, etc. soon. I am buying my case of Profect liquid protein at my support group meeting next Monday. I am getting really excited, but also very nervous!
