You look amazing, Anna. ![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/thumbsup2.gif)
I'm jealous.
I still look exactly like your before pics. I think I hear Mexico calling in Jan/Feb if I don't get into nursing school.

Oh, sweetie...I'm so sorry that you are struggling with your values. Have you been taking your vitamins regularly? I sure hope so
! Well, I know the low iron values are somewhat common...Melting Mama has to have infusions, as well, because of her low levels. They never really seem to come up very far, though. I would think that if you go through an entire series of infusions and your levels don't improve to normal levels, it's probably time to consult a specialist. Then at least you can pass along what is learned to your PCP so that she can follow up and learn more about post-bypass labs and needs.
As for the rest:
Vit D can be supplemented along with Calcium, in multi vits, and/or separately...basically, you aren't getting enough, and aren't absorbing enough of what you are getting.
Low hemoglobin can be due to low iron, B12, and/or folate, in smokers, those living in high altitudes, due to dehydration at test time
Low hemocrit is due to same as above
Low WBC can be due to infection, or to a B12 and/or folic acid deficiency (these aid in WBC production)
Low MHC is related to blood glucose levels
High Lymphocytes could be due to illness, infection...ususally nothing to worry about
High RDW levels are likely due to anemia, B12 and/or folic acid deficiency
Low ferritin indicates low iron stores in the body
Low iron serum indicates low iron circulation in the blood
Low Neutrophils-absolute- can be due to...you guessed it....B12 and/or folate deficiency
I hope this helps some!
It can all be so confusing!!

Suz-
Thanks for the accountability- I've been bad and need to get back on track. Am at the top of my window again at 134- ugh!!! Been eating anything and everything.
Had another iron infusion on Friday- it takes awhile so I hope I feel it soon. She wants me back in another 2 months for blood tests. I don't want to wait that long. My last infusion only lasted 2 weeks and it only brought my count up by 2. it will fall so much lower in 2 months- what a pain in the behind!!!
here's what came back irregular from my latest set of labs-
WBC- low
Hemoglobin- low
Hematocrit- low
MCH- low
RDW- high
lymphs- high
Neutrophils (absolute)- low
Vitamin D- low
Iron, serum- low
Ferritin, serum- low
I don't know what half this stuff is- or what it means. I love my Doc- she admitted she knows very little about post-GBS- but that she's willing to consult, discuss with me and learn. At what point do I need to see a specialist? Being tired is getting old...
I need to get back to exercising more regularly and eating better.
Here's to a good week-

Karen, I'm so glad to hear you are doing so much better and wow a 4 lb loss. That is awesome. Everyone has given you great advice. I too am one of those people who have to fight sliding down that slippery slope. I have to weigh myself everyday and if I start to gain I go back to basics. I don't eat much bread or crackers. Bread because it fills me up and crackers because it doesn't and I can eat so many...ugh. Sounds like you are on the right track. Keep up the good work!!!

Okies everyone, I've added my 5 week post op and I don't really think you can tell it but at 3 days post op I could wear a size 16 at 5 weeks post op I'm in a 4. Would I do it again...heck yes even with the trouble I had with my friend. I feel amazing and I get compliments all the time. I can see the changes in the definition in my tummy and butt areas as the weeks go by. So far I'm pleased a*****h. There were times at like 2-3 weeks out that I wasn't feeling so confident that I had done the right thing spending all that money on me. Now I feel it is soooooo worth it!!!

Thank you ALL
for the help and encouragement. I wanted to update you with good news. I have lost 4 pounds since my last post. I am using the www.livestrong.com diet plate to record my food and I am withdrawing from the crackers. I am focusing on the protein and watching what i put in my mouth daily. I have posted my before pictures on the fridge and by my bed to remind me of how far I have come. I have been going through carb withdrawels ...I guess that is what you would call it. I know my life stressors is been a factor in me getting off track along with my health challenges. But, I am refusing to go backwards. I am going to sign up for aquatics as that is the only kind of real exercise I can do.
Again, thank you and I will keep in touch as you all have been a huge boost for my spirit.
Blessings to all,
Karen
