Thanks Marta!!! Sorry no advice as far as arms go. Just make sure you pick a dr people know and you can see his work. A lot of folks on the VA board had had PS with Dr. K and I got to see how good he was. When I met him it just sealed the deal. He is kind and caring and made me feel at ease right away. His father recently passed and he came home and saw me (and I'm sure others) that had problems before going back for the funeral. I thought that spoke more then a 1000 words from others could of. I was having issues with my belly button. Just make sure you are completely comfortable with your choice and if for any reasons you have doubts about your choice don't do it. Also if you have someone with you make sure they know exactly what to expect so there won't be any surprised and you end up having to take care of everything yourself.

Could it be the Meuselix? I would say gall bladder too but since you don't have it that's out. I do get really bad gas pains and when they start I have to take Mylanta, if I don't catch it right away it is very painful and lasts for a long time. I'v always had them so I was lucky I knew what it was. If I take the mylanta (it's the only thing that works for me) right away the pains go away.

Good point -- but no, I don't have my gall bladder -- but the pain is similar across the middle of my back as I remember for that pain -- it's only when the "attacks" are happening that the pain is there, which makes me wonder if my "innards" aren't shifting around a bit-- which is what my surgeon originally thought when I went to emergency once for it -- he took an x-ray and thought maybe my intestines were knotting up, but couldn't tell by the time I got there... so still trying to figure out why they occur. I keep Googling it, but can't find if anyone else has similar pain/reactions -- it's not necesarily to sugar -- last night's was some mueslix mixed with Greek yogurt and I think the mueslix swelled == I didn't even think of it while I was eating -- but WOW -- the pain all evening was enough to kill...

Hi Everyone -
I know that I have not been around lately, it has been a crazy summer. I have basically stabilized my weight ( 148 - 153) which is great. Not much action happening in that department.
However, I'm starting to look in to plastic surgery. I actually have my 1st consultation on Monday the 8th. For those of us who had plastic surgery , did anyone have their arms done? My arms are my biggest concern right now... I can live with everything else....for now.
I'm more scared to have the ps done than the bypass. Anna you look great and I can only hope that I would have a positive experience as you did.
any thoughts would be helpful -

Hi -
Do you still have your gall bladder? If so, the attacks could be from that - they are excruciating.
I don't really "dump" - I just get really sleepy if I eat something that does not agree with - so I'm no help. If it is really that painful though I would go get it checked out - who knows it could be nothing or something that needs to fixed and will only get worse.
best of luck -
Marta
Topic: Attacks and Back Pain
I had surgery in January 2007 and all is fine, except when I have "attacks" -- that always include killer back pain right in the middle of my upper back along my backbone at the same time as horrible pain in the pouch area, along with intense gas pains in my lower stomach...does anyone else have the associated back pain with the "dumping" attacks?
I'm always at the brink of going to emergency, since I think I'm dying when they occur, but if I can outlast them -- sometimes 4-8 hours, it eventually goes away, except for residual aching for a day or two...

Oh yeah, words can't describe the freedom I feel, lol! I feel bad, but you know how it is, when you have more than one at the same age, well trouble just seems to find them! And OMG how they slow me down. There are days where it seems I have trouble even getting out the door with them. lol! Enjoy your quiet time too!

Are you just in heaven or what?
I am just so amazed at what I can get done in such a short time without dragging the triplets around with me.
ENJOY!!!!

Suz-
Thanks so much for doing this!!! I really appreciate it!!!
I do take my vitamins faithfully now...I just don't seem to absorb too well. I'm on on Rx Vitamin D- 50,000 untis 1x/wk for 16 weeks.
Can you believe my B12 levels are good? Actually they're a tiny bit high- but she says not to worry about that. I take that one sublingually and for whatever reason it absorbs better.
Folate came back at 11.9- which i think is totally normal cuz it wasn't highlighted in bright yellow like all the others.
I personally think you're more than ready for nursing school!!!! :)
Thanks again-
