Hey Steph - Please know that we are here for you and my prayers are going out to you. It's very easy to fall back to food for comfort, you are not alone in this. I know you can beat this Stephanie. You have done wonderful. Look at you girlfriend!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm still holding steady at 121-123. I've been documenting for the last few months my weight and I know that I can sometime**** 125 2 weeks before my period, so it must be when I'm ovulating. It always scares me but within a few days it goes back down again. Amazing how a few extra pounds can make your clothes too tight.
Have a great week everyone!!!
Suz - take lots of breaks for you, ok? hehehehe!

Day late-
134 pounds- up 2 from last week and am at the top of my window. Worked out 5 days last week- but am just eating way too many calories.
Gotta get the eating under control.
Am sooo tired.
How much are you guys working out?
Do you eat before you go?
Thanks-

Got the meds- feel sooo much better.
Dr still wants to wait to run next set of blood tests- so I'm faxing my 2 latest sets to my surgeon in Columbia to see what he says. I am sooo freakin tired. I overslept yesterday and the kids were late for school. I dragged myself through my workout at the gym and then spent the rest of the day lying around. Just sooo tired.
I'll keep you posted...

Steph-
please stay with us!!! I'm up 11 pounds from my lowest- which I know probly isn't a big deal- but that's how it starts.
I am taking one day at a time- truly!!!
The nightime eating is my current demon- out of control- probly 75% of my calories are consumed in a 2 hour period- which is stupid and terrible.
The current thing I'm working on is goal setting. I pick an event 2 weeks- 1 month out and remind myself about that event and how I want to feel there, what I'm going to wear...
I also look at a long-term goal. We're going to Cabo for Christmas and I want to feel good there too.
Anyhoo- that's what's helping me right now.
Are you still working out?
Hang in there and we miss you...

Thanks Marta-
I KNOW something is not right- PCP wants to wait until October to run next set of labs to see what happened woth the last set of iron infusions- she says we need to wait that long- I read on the internet that you could see results in 2 weeks- which is long over- but I know too much iron can be toxic.
I am faxing my latest 2 sets of labs to my surgeon in Bogota so he can take a look. I think My PCP here thinks I'm a hypochondriac- but I think think she's missing the boat. It will be nice to get another opinion.
I'll keep you posted-
Thanks and enjoy Hong Kong- how fun!!!

hi Holly -
I get the leg cramps at night as well, it like a charlie horse, and i even get them in my feet. I told dr. and he said that is not a good sign, so he sent me for blood work, which i have not gone to have done yet..... i'm still traveling for work, actually sitting in Hong Kong right now.
Anyway - it can be a calcium defiecency or potasium defeciency..... he told me to increase my calcium supplements.. i have done that and it does seem to help.... i need to have my blood work done once i get back in the states. i would call your dr. just to double check.....

Stephanie - I'm sorry to hear that you're in a bad place in your life right now. Remember that life is full of peaks and valleys and I pray that you have more peaks in the future because I know (believe me) that the valleys suck and it's hard to get out of and yes, food is our comfort unfortunately. For some it's cigarettes, others drug or alcohol, us it's food or more! We all share that with you Stephanie and you are not alone, know that please. I know you are a woman of faith, so turn it over to God hon. You know He can give you the strength to get through this.Oh and chew lots of gum when you get those cravings. : )

Good Monday Morning My January Lovelies!!
I have had a busy morning finishing my nursing application packets. I had an appointment with a couselor at one college this morning, and have another set for tomorrow at a second college. I am emotionally whooped.
Surgery/high: 251.5
Last Monday: 142.2
Today: 140.2
So, up-down, up-down...welcome to maintaining.
Stephanie...I am so sorry that you are struggling with your eating and emotional ties to food. It can be quite a battle, I know. I could give you the pat advice that we have all heard about going back to the basics and all that crap...but you already know these things, so I won't. The only real advice I can offer is this:
1. See a counselor if you haven't already done so. They may not cure you or work miracles, but it may help you to talk to someone about your reasons for turning to food. Perhaps the act of really talking to someone about your troubles will take some of your burdeons away and allow you to be good to yourself.
2. This is the practical, food related part: Log every thing that you eat, starting right now. Put it into your online food diary (which ever one you used to use) and be honest! Eat what ever you want, but write down every morsel that crosses your lips!!! I think that you will be amazed how much control it allows you to take back. I lost a few pounds without even trying just by doing this again. It isn't fun, and it can be a pain in the butt...however, it really does help to keep one accountable and in control of food by not allowing ourselves to mindlessly graze and munch. Again, eat what ever you are willing to write down!!! Just write it down. Our minds sometimes make adjustments in our behavior just through repetition and habit. Also, if we don't like what we see on the page, it tends to allow us to think twice (or three times, lol) about whether we really want or need to eat xyz.
I wish you peace in the coming weeks, sweetie...you can do this!!
Make it a great week ladies!
