We get a dusting of snow about every 8-10 years...but it only sticks about every 25 years or so. The last time we had any significant amount of snow on the ground that lasted for more than a couple of hours was in the early 70's...I think I was 5 or 6? I can remember riding my big wheel in the snow with my doxie, Spud, in the little lunch box on the back. The poor thing...she was miserable and freezing and didn't give a damn about the snow.

I awoke to 4 inches of snow this morning!!!
It took me an extra 15 minutes to find all the boots, mittens and hats and winter coats... we barely made the bell!!!  :)
But we're like you kinda- could hit 70 degrees this weekend... but luckily no fires!!!  :)

Oh heck yeah! It's been cool here in the mornings...at least cool for us @ 45-50 degrees. I had the sheet, a blanket, and the down duvet all piled on...it was cozy and perfect! Of course, now that I've said that it's been cool...we are currently headed for a high pressure front to hit, and in CA that = dry heat. Great, more wild fires & no more snuggling for a while .

Sorry I'm late- holding steady at 135.  I'm not sure I'll ever see the 120's again without amputating something... but I keep telling myself- that's okay- I don't need to be a size zero or 2.  I have a normal BMI and I am healthy!!!  :)
It has been CRAZY!!!
Friday had my 6 hour iron infusion, oil change and then soccer practice.  Saturday was a soccer game and then a birthday party and then a soccer party.  Well- go out to the garage to take the triplets to the bowling birthday party and my car is on fire!!!  Yes- on fire!!!  Not horrifically engulfed in flames but burning none the less.  The moron oil change place put the wrong size oil filter on and then didn't tighten something so the oil dropped down onto the cadillidic (sp?) converter which heats up to 600 degrees easily and started melting the air-damn type thing that goes under the car.  My husband pulled out charred remains so we originally thought that the oil place left a rag or something in there.  The firemen said the plastic fumes are terrible and to get the kids away- so I take them to the party...I dealt with the car all day Monday...
Today- gosh is it still Tuesday?- yes- oh but it was divine!!!  I met with the hematologist.  He's head of the biggest practice here in the Springs (which we're not too big) and he spent over an hour with me!!!  FINALLY!!!  I am listened to and asked how I've been able to function...
Anyways- the current treatment is 6 iron infusions over the next 6 weeks and then we'll test my blood again.  Yippee!!!  My PCP was so afraid of making my iron levels toxic and just never understood why they never took- well I knew one infusion a month was never gonna cut it when my ferritin level is 3.  So finally- a plan- and I feel better already!!!
I'm glad everyone is doing well - and Steph- you thought it was water weight!!!  :)
Oh- one other thing.  One of the triplets got their scissor priliges taken away at Kindergarten today and will not be allowed to use them for some time.  he was cutting his hair.  We got the boys haircut last week- but I guess Colton wanted it shorter.  :)
Have a good one!!!

Topic: Had my last PS consultation....
Hi Ladies -
I have my last consult last night ( I've seen 3 Dr.s). It has been interesting, with each appt. the price got lower and lower. The best price I got was 17,900 for both my arms, chest lift and aug. ( with silicone).
I started out w/ 25,000 and then 19,000. I don't think that I'll get too much lower.
What I really liked about this last Dr. was that 90% of his surgeries are on weight loss patients, esp. gastric bypass ones.  The other doctors didn't really touch on the fact that bypass patients really need to be healthy due to the malabsorbtion issue we got going on. I thought that was interesting.
One thing I thought was a little odd - was that he strongly recommended silicon implants, the other doctors didn't care either way which one you chose. Now I know that silicone look better and feel more natural to the touch.... but is it really that much of a difference? I guess it is a personal thing.... if anyone has any thoughts would love to hear.

I think I'm leaning towards this Dr., but I need to quit smoking.... he was adamant about that.... at least 4 weeks b/4 surgery.... i agree it is not good for me, but it is my one bad habit.... I know I will quit - actually I've set my mind on Nov. 1st..... i can't have surgery until late Jan or feb... due to vacation time needed, so that gives alot of time to be smoke free....

Well i just thought I'd share with y'all... I know I'm rambling.... but any thoughts about the PS thing, I would love to hear.

Seeeeeeeeeee Stephanie, so it wasn't all jus****er that you lost last week right??? Awesome girl!!!

I'm about the same 119-123, think I was 121 last week. Nothing new going on here. Loving that the kiddos are in school. I look forward to that break. I need to do what Suz did and go right back to bed when they leave for school.

Have a great week everyone!

Hey, surgery-sister! Haven't seen you around in ages! It's nice to see your pretty face on this board again :o).

Maybe your body just likes this weight? If you are in the normal range(?), could it be that this is where your body feels best and has decided to settle? If not, going back-to-basics and logging my food has always worked wonders!
