It's still only 11:39 am on the west coast...so I did make the actual Monday morning weigh ins.
I've not had much change since I checked in New Years Day...but I'm not worried. My dh is on my back to gain some weight so that makes dropping a couple of pounds sort of a guilt-ridden process. What to do, what to do...
Here's my numbers:
Surgery/high: 251.5
Last Thursday: 141.0
Today: 141.2
And before I go...I'm sending out a big congrats to you for the great week, Stephanie! Weigh to go!!! Make it a great week ladies!

Here are my stats:
HW 327
SW 322
LW 189.8
CW 184.6 ( I have not had an occassion to use the jumping dude in a loooooooooooong time!)
I looked at my numbers and had to triple check them! I was most excited to see that differnce this week. I did add 15 minutes of cardio to my work outs and increased the intesity slighty and it made a difference. I also ate a little better this week but I still have a long way to go. Please continue to be in prayer with me cause this is a long road that is no way easy!
Thanks
I was fortunate to easily make goal, but I can sympathize with the struggle to keep moving ahead and get rid of the fear. I am sure that the Lexapro will help with the feelings of anxiety, but the stress of trying to get back on track will only be overcome by hard work and determination from you. You can do this! Someone will always be here to help you and cheer you on when you need it...you just need to ask. We all need help sometimes...we can do this together.
I would suggest that the first things you could try would be to first- log in for Monday Morning Weigh-Ins (accountability is key!), second- start logging your food intake if you aren't already doing so (again, accountability is key!!).

Belle -
I was told to take the iron w/ vitamin C and it helps w/ absorption better. I don't drink orange juice but I do take it with chewable 500 mg vitamin c - everyday. I have no iron problems as of yet.
As for calcium..... that is another story. Calcium is the only vitamin i'm very lazy with. i hardly ever take it.....and i don't know why i always forget. I think it is because you cannot take it with the iron pill, therefore i have to wait and then i always forget it. As for the calcium , the citrate ones are the ones we are supposed to take - however they are really horse pills. I think that there are some chewable ones from a bariatric company. My dr. said to take viactiv or caltrate - even if it is not the right ones, some calcium is better than nothing.
hopefully i can increase my calcium in the new year.

Hi:
Sorry to hear that you are having a difficult time but I can definitely relate to you..I have had a significant weight regain (way more than 15 pounds) and I am just getting back on track. The thing that I found to be my biggest challenge was grazing. I am starting out by cutting out on the mindless grazing and it is making a difference.
Do you track your food? If that is not something you can do, try to have set times for your meals and only eat at those times.
Are you working out? If not, start back with a work out program and slowly build your endurance and stay consistent with your work outs. It does not have to be a big chunk of time, you can do a 10 minute work out, three times a day for and that will do wonders.
What about your protein intake? Are you getting enough? Or do you find that you are eating mostly carbs? Cut back on some of the carbs (they make you crave more carbs and they make you retain water) and increase your protein intake. You don't have to totally abandon carbs but make sure you are getting in your protein first. In most cases, when you have your protien first, you will be more satisfied and not crave the carbs as much.
Are you getting in your water? If not, increase your intake until you are getting in the recommended daily amounts (at least half your body weight)
Don't give up! We all know what we need to do to be successful but we don't always do them all the time. None of us are perfect and we miss the mark alot...but you know what? Each day that you are blessed to wake up, you have a clean slate to start with...so today is a new day.....what are you going to do with it??
One saying is that a journey of a 1000 miles begins with one step....just make one small change today and build on that each day....
And know that I am writing this not just to you but to me too!!! I am right there with you. ((HUGS))
Good Luck....we are here if you need us!!
Steph
I also take a prescription iron pill and I take it once a day.....my absorbtion of them must be okay becuase my iron levels increased once I started to take them. The generic name of them is Hemocyte F tablets. , they have 324 mg ferrous fumarate and 1 mg of folic acid in them. I agree that the chewables one don't taste so great! lol
WOWSERS!! That is awesome!! I am joining you in thanking God for your big loss!! That is a wonderful Christmas Gift!!! And those two pounds can be gone by your anniversary!!! How was your trip?? I know when you weighed in it made the trip better!! lol
And how do you say you did not exercise but you ran for two miles, walked 7 miles, and swam???????? I call that exercise!!
And thanks for the congrats. It feels good to have the scale moving downward again. Keep me in your prayers that I keep the momentum going!
