She is such a tough girl and good sport, that receiving that medal was all *she* needed to forget the pain. *We* on the other hand...well you can just imagine how worried we were to not be able to be with her at the time of the accident. I never really thought that the medical release would ever be needed...I almost joked with Mark that he better not need to use it when they got to Nevada. I am so glad now that I didn't say that...I'm sure that it would have really made him feel bad! We were bathed in fortune on Saturday.

I really didn't feel much of anything until later that day...and then it really hit me hard the next day...just how bad this could have gone. I just started bawling in the shower. We know going into this sport that bad things can happen to great kids...it's just part of the sport. One motto of sorts for wrestling is, "If it won't go, force it. If it breaks, it breaks." We know that any wrestler can get broken bones and strains and sprains, sometimes even dislocations...but it is pretty rare when you consider how many kids wrestle every day at these tournaments (sometimes upwards of 700 kids). Neck injuries are rarer still...leave it to my girl to give it a go! lol.

It was so hard to not be with her...especially with her being an entire state away from me. But, I was fortunate that she was in the care of a great Dad...his kids are so lucky to have a father as calm and in control as he was with my daughter.

I am so grateful to have this board available to me when I need to vent or share. I was in such a state on Saturday that I don't think it really hit me until Sunday just how lucky we were to have things turn out okay. So, when Sunday came and I was taking care of her...well, I was thankful that all it is going to take is some time and TLC to heal her...it could have been so much worse.

Thought this was interesting..... I just tried it with a taco bell taco and it worked!! WOOOHOO Text Message for Restaurant Calories... Yay!!! - Do you dream about walking into a restaurant and having all the nutritional info (and POINTS® values!) right at your fingertips?! Well pinch yourselves, people, because that dream is now a reality. There's a database of about a bazillion jillion chain restaurant foods and their calories, fat, carbs, protein, AND POINTS® values -- and you can access the nutritionals simply by texting the restaurant name and menu item to DIET1 (34381). For POINTS® values, just add the word "points" (or even just "pt") to the beginning. Within seconds you'll get the answer sent to your phone! Go on. Try it. We've tried it out, and so far the info seems fairly accurate... have fun and le t us know what you think!

Suz, I'm relieved with you that your daughter is going to be fine. It is so hard when your kids are hurting any time and with her far away I'm sure you were in turmoil. God had His hand on her! That is cool she got a ribbon. Marilyn

Well, I'm back down to 157, but determined to get in the 140's very soon. I wonder if my body is just so shocked to be at this weight (that is has never seen before) that it is holding on. I walked everyday but one this past week, except Friday. SW: 247 LW: 159 CW: 157 Down 2 pounds, total lost 90 pounds. Want to hit 100 desperately so I'm working hard! I found this awesome new liquid nutrition program that I just love. I have been on it for 30 days and can really tell a difference in my energy level, skin and during my last monthly cycle I had almost none of the usual PMS symptoms that I normally experience. I wish I had known about this right after surgery and not had to chew yucky vitamins. You your full daily percentage of vitamins and minerals plus mangosteen, aloe vera, and green tea all in one great tasting 2 oz shot! It is called Vemma. They also sell the same mix in an energy drink that is sugar-free and has about 80 mg of caffeine. It has really helped my energy levels in the afternoon and helped me stay focused and not snack. If you would like to find out more about it check out www.myvemma.com/marilynbohannan Have a great week! Marilyn

Not under 160 pounds but inching towards it and closer towards my goal!! I now have less than 25 pound to goal! HW 327 SW 322 LW 162.4 CW 162.2 And I am down 0.2 pounds.....See you next week! Also, I started the 5 day pouch test today and so far so good...I used the ham and split pea soup recipe from the website for days 1 and 2 so its not really all liquids (the recipe was pretty good too). But anyway.....We will see how it goes.

Suz - I had the chills reading your post. Gosh, I couldn't even imagine getting that phone call, I know your heart must have been beating a mile a minute. I think I would have been sick. I'm glad that she was in good hands and that she's ok, I know it could have been a lot worse. ****HUGS*****
