Thank you, Lindy...that's very sweet of you to remember MacKenzie. She seems to be doing well and is on the mend...but she's still her bratty pre-teen self, as always! ;o)

Hi Everyone,
We only had one addition this week, Suzanne's daughter needs our prayers. Please keep me posted of any new news to add here.
Anna (Anna Bryant)
Best wishes and success for Plastic Surgery Consult on March 21st.
Bel (Bel Le)
Best wishes and success for Plastic Surgery Consult for TT and Thigh lift and surgery. Possibly the same week that Janie has hers, which is March 27th.
Beth (Beth N)
Warm wishes to get over bronchitis and stay healthy.
Denise (Barbara Garcia)
I'm having an MRI done Friday (2/29) on my back. I have a bulging disc in my neck and lower back. PRAY that I won't need surgery to fix it...have started physical therapy to try to get it healed without surgery. I'll let y'all know when I get the results.
Janie (Janie M)
Prayers that her TT and BL surgery go well and for her surgeons hands during the process. Also for a speedy recovery. The official date is March 27th.
Holly (Holly R)
Prayers that she doesn't have anyone else in her household come down with the cold or sickness, so she can get some much needed rest and relaxation for a change.
Katy (Katy B)
I am scheduled to start allergy testing tomorrow. I am off steroids and the weight is starting to come back down. But to do testing, I am off meds. Today they told me if my allergies were really bad they would need to postpone testing. Well duh, how am I going to get this dealt with if they don't test?
Lindy (Twinkie K)
Desires to get pregnant and strength to handle all of the pressures of a new position at the same time. Prayers for success in meeting the goals established for my weight loss support group for 2007. We are striving for 2 fun run walks, 5 new members (which we already attained) and a total new weight loss of all new people added and weight loss of existing members of 1000 lbs, and to never have to cancel one of our bi-monthly meetings, and the design / purchase of business cards to spread the word about our group (which we already obtained) and the design of our new website to bring together people in our area for much needed support that is not dictated by people who have never had the surgery and don't understand what we are going through. I was struggling with loosing too much weight, but I am glad to report that I am back up to 116.4 lbs, so I am sure that it was due to the stomach virus and dehydration that was setting in.
Lori (Lori M)
To update on me, I meet with my GYN on Monday 3/3 to schedule my hysterectomy. He called last week and the lesion on my cervix is adenocarcinoma (cancer) but we caught it early enough that the hysterectomy should remove it and I won't need chemo or radiation. While we do the hysterectomy a general surgeon will also be on hand to address the bowel issues, and hopefully whatever he sees he'll be able to fix...that's still not "diagnosed" but could be some sort of internal hernia or kink in my bowels...They'll also do a liver biopsy because my liver has some sort of damage. Quite possibly "fatty liver" from being obese, but it's possible that with the 117 lbs I've lost, the liver is on the mend. I'll update when I have a surgery date scheduled.
Marta (Marta Greig)
I been having gall bladder problems and had an ultrasound done and yup - I have gall stones. they want to take it out, so..... that would mean another surgery. I feel like i'm falling apart. I had no issues at 311 pounds and now i have had knee surgery and now need to have gall bladder surgery in the same year. I know i'm healthier than ever, but I still feel like I'm falling apart
Suzanne (Suzanne M)
MacKenzie had been in the last few seconds of the third round of her first match of the day and she had been hurt badly by the other wrestler. The paramedics were currently assessing her condition and had her strapped to a board, immobile to protect her neck. I thought that I would be sick right there on the phone. Mark was very calm and had control of the situation; I completely trusted his ability to handle the situation. I spoke with a paramedic and he told me that they were taking her to Barton Hospital in South Lake Tahoe for an x-ray and CT scan, but he thought that would be clear. The day unfolded and it ended up that she was later released to Mark, very sore, very medicated, but walking and moving all of her limbs...no worse for wear.
I am so grateful to Mark for taking such wonderful care of my baby...he really made me feel at ease. And MacKenzie is on the mend...she'll be back wrestling in no time! Her neck looks awful, though :-/.

Topic: RE: Period
Hey Holly~ I am glad you made an appt with your ObGyn and hope all is well. My cycle was always reg before surgery but it recently changed but that was because I got an IUD...a few months ago and it is much lighter...which freaked me out cause i got the non hormonal one and it was supposed to make my cycles heavier. Glad your PCOS symptoms have gotten better too. Keep us posted on how things go with your appt.
Steph
Topic: RE: Period
Holly - mine were never regular before the surgery either, but have been pretty much since the surgery. Although the first 2-3 months it was every 30 days, now it's starting to get more spread out, sometimes going 40 days. I wouldn't worry too much. Good luck @ the ObGyn!
Topic: RE: Period
My periods have never been anything but irregular...since the first one at 9 years old. But, after surgery...I have a period every 28 days whether I want one or not! It is so annoying to have them so often...I really miss going 6-7 weeks without one. Mine are actually about as heavy as they were before I really hit critical mass with my weight...they lightened up a bit toward the end. Now...it's back to the way they were pre-fatty...okay days 1, 3, and to the end. But, day 2? I can't even leave the house!! I doubt that you are going through early menopause...it's just your body looking for a new normal. At least your PCOS is better than before... I never had that (that I know of) so I don't even know what the symptoms are but I can imagine that it's no fun.

Topic: Period
I had some major changes in my period. I am more regular than ever before- this past cycle was 6 weeks- that's unusual for me- could go months before without having one. Since losing all the weight I am more frequent and the bleeding is heavier than I've ever had in my life. I turned 40 this past Sept- is this a symptom of early menopause anybody know?
Lori's post made me make an ObGyn appt- but it's months away.
I have PCOS too- but my symptoms are WAY better post WLS...
Thanks-
Brit
