Wow. Thanks for the head's up. You are one brave gal. I love the smile. I had no idea that the compression garment looked like a wet suit. I just figured it would look like some sort of girdle. Does the compression garment go up over the sugery area and leave the drains hanging out or does it compress just your legs to prevent blood clots? I know very little about it all. Thanks for the info. Katy B

I am late and I worked all weekend this past weekend and have been working long hours since I started this new job. I am behind on the prayer patrol report as well. It looks like the only additions are those that are struggling with the regain issues or returning habits. I hope to be on track later this week. Last week, I weighed in @ 114.4....Monday, I weighed in at 113..I am not sure what is going on, but I feel fine. So I am okay with the current weight. I have been trying to regain though. Hugs, Lindy

Lori- Thanks for explaining this. I really hope you get some answers- it sounds totally awful. I think you should run in to the Dr's office the next time you have an episode and at least let a nurse see what's going on. Do you take anything for the pain? I'm so not about pain...ewwwww!!! Please continue to keep us posted... Holly

It used to all be traditional until about 15 years ago. For some unknown reason, massive amounts of people from the Bay Area decided that they wanted to move to our hick town and live like farmers...not really...but they did like the "small town atmosphere". So, of course they ruined it for everyone. There were too many young kids, and not enough elementary schools. This was before the big economic "boom", so no big money for new schools. They started cycling kids to make room for all of them....hence, year-round. But, there are far more high schools and middle schools, though. So, it's crazy here school wise. Next year, the two oldest will be in traditional and the youngest will go back into year-round. It's only for another 6 years :o(...unless and until we move out of this crappy state.

Yes ma'am...they are seperate issues. They have run tons of tests and found nothing significant causing the problems with my bowels to this point, so this is our last option with the bowels. It's so crazy though....if they could be around when the whole thing is going on I am 100% sure they'd be able to figure out exactly what the problem is, but each time I am having tests run I'm feeling good. Isn't it always like that? As for the cancer, yes, I went in for a routine Pap in November and had an inconclusive test. Went back in for another in December which pointed to abnormal glandular activity so they brought me back in for a culposcopy (biopsy), and then a second biopsy (endomentrial), and then finally for a cone biopsy. All showed the same thing, adencarcinoma (glandular cancer) which has grown just beyond the cervical area into the uterus and will require a hysterectomy but no chemo or radiation at this point. I have been working with my GYN but will also see an ONC before my surgery for a second opinion.
