Sounds like you are in pretty good shape! I work out, but it sure did not seem to help my sagging issues. Of course, I have lost 165 pounds so WHT did I expect? lol! How much was the LBL and BL quote? My guess is in the ball park of $15K? It is amazing how expensive it is huh? No chance of insurance kicking in any part of it?
Congrats on taking that first step. Yeah! I will keep my fingers crossed that it isn't 4 years, though!

Hey Mary! Congrats on the big loss this week!! Way to go!!
And I can eat an entire frozen dinner too...I have not tried sandwiches yet..but I don't doubt I could eat a whole one. One of my friends had the surgery and two months later she told me she ate a whole sandwich.
And you are so right....my bad days now are nothing compared to my bad days pre op. Thanks for letting me know I am not alone in my struggles...it seems some days are super easy and other days...I feel so out of control.
Hope to see you next week!
Steph

Thank you so much for the motivation Marilyn....I will focus more on the healthful changes that I have made and celebrate the healthy habits I have developed and also continue to pay attention to the not so desirable habits that are creeping back and work on minimizing them. My choices are so much better now but the emotional side of this journey is soooooooo taxing at times.
And I am only 5'6 and 1/2 (lol I am claiming my 1/2 inch) I was 5'7 prior to surgery and seemed to have misplaced 1/2 an inch during the last year...boy do I wish I could get that inch back! lol

Topic: RE: Prayer Patrol, Sunday, March 23rd
Hi Lindy -
Thanks for the prayers and thoughts. I'm actually scheduled for surgery this friday. Hopefully all will go as planned, as I was scheduled for the 17th of march and had it cancelled due to a power outage in the hospital.
Sending thoughts and prayer to everyone else who is struggling w/ health issues and everyday struggles as well.
thanks -
Marta

Im late replying as usual, but I hear ya oon the bad habits. I gave in and ate easter candy, which I never do...but I keep telling myself even normally thin people have those days and an occasion screw up wont make or break me. I have discovered for a sweet fix I can take a protein bar and thoughout the day eat a bite here and a bite there. I get the "candy" fix plus protein. My weight had stalled and I was only losing about 2-3 lbs a month. But this last week I lost 7lbs! It will probably creep back up a few lbs and then I'll be stuck again and start dropping more later. I can definatly eat whata normally thin person eats. A whole sandwich..(not like subway, but a slice of chz slice of lunch meat, 2 slices ww bread.) I can eat a whole frozen dinner with no problem and I read a post the other day where some people years out say that cant do that!! So that freaked me out. And I too find myself grazing. But I try to make it healthier choices. Im not a carb o phob, so I will eat ww bread, I eat rice or potatoes but only about twice a month. I do however eat a bowl of instant grits with some hame and chz melted in everyday. The grits are 100 calories plain and with my add ins about 195. I know theres prob alot of carbs but I dont think it can be that bad. Anyway...didnt mean to get so long winded but Im feelin ya!! Just know we all go through those same temptations and fight those same demons. But even on our bad days we are better than we were pre-op! Good luck to ya!
