9 lbs? are you kidding me? Could you barely move? I can hardly move its not even funny. I was crying it hurt so bad. Do you think it was the vertical extension that has me in so much pain? Also, they removed 4 lbs of skin from my tummy, but why have I gained 7 lbs and not lost 4? I am up 11 lbs. Yes 11 lbs. I am so swollen and can barely move. I do have to say my breasts and tummy look great!! I need to lay back down though. Glad things are well with you! Can't wait to see pics, I'll send some too! I had to stay in the hospital 2 nights the pain was so bad

and will post more later! But here's how things are now. Thanks for your prayers and support: Surgery is over! [Edit Post] Hey everyone! I am so sore and can't do much of anything. It hurt so much afterwards, nothing like I've felt before. I know it will be worth it in the long run, but OMG I was in tears when they wanted me to get up and walk. I was hunched over and was taking the smallest steps you could imagine.. I only made it a few steps and begged them to take me back to bed. It was only supposed to be an overnight stay, but I had to stay 2 nights because of the severe pain. We tried a few meds, the only thing that seemed to work was the loratab and I had to take double of that. We were so lucky that Dave's stepmom was here because she had the girls for two days while I was in the hospital, the hospital was 2 1/2 hrs away and it would have been silly for him to drive home and then come get me the next day. One night he stayed at his Dad's house and the other night he stayed at the hospital with me. My stomach is so tight I can't even believe it, it feels like someone has taken all of my skin from me and I really have a waist. I can't wait until I can wear jeans again and see what they look like. I am very happy with it and the scars aren't that bad and will look better with time. The breasts, omg, they are like nothing I've had before. They are a little small compared to what I'm used to, (never thought I would have small breasts) but I really like them better and the best part of it is they don't hang at all. I wouldn't even need a bra. They are up there! lol! I'm really happy with them! Thanks for your prayers. I've missed ya! I have taken pics and will post them when I have more energy. OH AND THEY TOOK 4 POUNDS OF SKIN!!!!!!!

I have been re-reading several of the books that I bought before surgery. One that is really helpful is "The Success Habits of Weight-Loss Surgery Patients" by Colleen M. Cook. It helps remind you of the habits that are most essential during weight loss and for maintenance. I made up this check list that helps me to "think" each day about the habits that I need to work on.

The gas pain was the worst after my c-sections and my GPS. I hope it goes away quickly and you are feeling better soon! I am feeling MUCH better today, so it is amazing how much difference 24 hours can make!

Hi - I made it..... I'm home from gall bladder surgery. I have to say it is more painful than I thought, liveable, but still painful. I still feel like I'm having an attack, sharp pain in the right side. I have a ton of gass bubbles that keep rumbling around, once they are gone I'm sure I will feel alot better. I'm gonna hang out on the couch and mellow out w/ my happy pills.... Marta
