Plastic Surgery is July 23. I am having a LBL and a BL. Nope at this time I couldn't even find anyone that would submit the insurance so I will submit when everything is said and done. I have an excellent surgeon. I have seen a lot of his work and I know I am going to be super pleases. I just cannot wait but must simply because at this time I do not have the vacation time. I am working very long hours to build up credit and comp time. Do you work? If so how much time did you end up having to take off? Or how long before you went back to taking care of the kids.

Good Tuesday Morning My January Lovelies! I forgot to post yesterday...I had to go to class, the kids were acting like, well...kids :o(, and I still feel like death. So, here I am...a day late, many dollars short, and still feeling like death. My lungs are killing me. Does anyone else notice that they can't cough as deep or productively since surgery? Or is it just me? I feel like I'm drowning in my own muck...I know TMI. Anyway, the stats:
Surgery/high: 251.5
Last Monday: 143.8
Today: 143.8
Loss/gain: -
Weird....the body seems to like this particular weight...but 143.8? Couldn't it be something nice sounding like 145? I swear, it doesn't seem to matter what time I weigh myself...always 143.8, lately. Okay, I'm off to study and feel miserable. Have a wonderful week ladies! And, great job on the -3.2, Steph

Hi - well I guess I loss some weight. I thought I weighed about 125 when I went in (that time of month) but when they weighed me there I was 129, so I'm not sure. The removed 4 lbs of skin from my tummy though. When I got home after PS I got all the way up to 142 because of all the fluid, so be prepared. It was a tough, tough recovery, I couldn't move for 2 days, actually I had to stay in the hospital an extra day because of the pain.
Anyways, I'm now back to 125. Still the same size 1 or 3 in jr's, but my tops and jeans fit so much better now. I no longer have that roll hanging out of my jeans and I don't have to wear loose, long shirts to hide it. I have to say, not having the droopy boobs is awesome. I'm still shocked when I look in the mirror! I could go without a bra and you wouldn't even know it, he really put them up there. They are smaller now, a B cup, but that's what I wanted. I've never had small boobs, even when I was younger, so this is nice!
Now, tell me again, when is your PS, you've already had your consult right? What are you having done? It will make a world of difference, you'll see. Is insurance paying for anything? My paid for the tummy tuck part of it, but not the breasts or the vertical extension. One day I'll posts pics. Still a little swollen.

Hi Janie, Yes it most amazing. How are you doing. Sounds like you are healing nicely now and are doing much better. Are down any sized now? Lost any since the ps?

Belle - I totally know what you mean about being so excited that you lost the weight, but embarrassed of how much you weight before WLS. I'm like that too, I look back at pictures and feel sorry for that person. I will never forget how I felt back then. It seems like forever ago.
Glad your stomach is flat. Mine is too and I LOVE it! I still have a little swelling going on there, but not much. How 'bout you?

I'm glad you went to counseling, I think that will help a lot. You are keeping track of your gains and getting a handle on things, so you will succeed. Don't worry about where you are right now, your BMI is still in normal range right?

I'm so glad the scale is moving again for you! It's hard when it doesn't, even worse when it goes up, but you know you'll have your ups and downs, but you'll keep moving in the right direction. You are so dedicated.
The swelling has finally gone down, I was shocked to see the scale up so much after the PS. I'm at 125 now. I think I might want to stay here, I was getting to thin. I for sure don't want to gain any though, so maybe I can get down to 122-123 in case I do gain a few lbs.
Have a great week everyone!

Yah, Steph... I guess it is a good thing that I don't even feel like I can relate to weighing over 300 pounds anymore. It feels like a lifetime ago, not just a year and a half. I hope it doesn't ever fade so much that I don't remember how bad I felt, how little energy I had, how unappealing I felt, etc. I want to remember it so I don't ever go back. I feel happy, and sexy, and proud of myself. I don't want to be the fat mom ever again. The most important thing for me is to be a good role model to my kids, who all have my metabolism! So many reasons to keep my focus, know what I mean?

Hey Lindy ((HUGS)) Sorry you are going thru this but glad to here you are feeling good in spite of the low weight. I want to ditto what Janie said..I think getting in at least 3 shakes a day should help up your calories for the day. And I am sure if you need some recipes for different shakes, members of this board can share them with you. I am a plain jane with my shakes and just do mostly vanilla or strawberry without the fruit..just yogurt and protein powder and most recently I added the SF davinci caramel syrup to my recipe and I like it! And don't even not reach out to us...like Anna said we all go thru things and we are here to support one another. Talk to you soon.
