Hi Anna...a day late for me. In fact, I think I missed last week, as well. I am just finishing my spring classes and am sort of decompressing before summer classes begin

Anyway, I don't even remember what I weighed last...Okay...nevermind, I quit being lazy and opened another tab to go check it out from two weeks ago....
Surgery/high: 251.5
Monday two weeks ago: 142.8
Today: 144-ish (not sure since I haven't weighed since last night)
I am up a little bit...but, it's due to TTOM. Bloating is for the birds. I think I liked it better before surgery when I would go for 6-8 weeks between cycles...this regularity is killing me
. Other than that...I sit here wishing for a plastic surgery fairy
to come and grant me my wishes of head-to-toe plastics free of charge. It's not going to happen, is it?? lol. Oh well....have a great week ladies...and any gentleman (Richard) out there!

Topic: Just curious...
Well, this board has had moments of mad activity alternating with periods of sheer lifelessness over the last year and a half. I am often curious just how many people still visit this board...even if they only read and don't post or respond to a thread. So, what I am here to request is a roll-call of sorts. Just respond to this thread....any post...even if it is blank and only has your name and avatar.
The reason that I ask this is that I often have things that I would like to post that I think might be relevant to those of us that are the same time out from surgery. But, I tend to not post them here because, frankly, I don't really know if anyone will actually be around to read it
....however, I would really like us to continue to support one another with an understanding of one another and where we are at.
Okay...so let's here it...who's really out there lurking???

Of course you can jump in any time! We love having both familiar and new faces popping in on a frequent basis to give their input and support. I have to admit that I have been MIA over the last couple of weeks...not even for Monday Morning Weigh Ins. But, typically I try to check in on a regular basis (several times a week) and post to any new thread if I can think of something relevant to say

Congrats on getting that scale moving again...those carbs are evil
!! I never suggest cutting them out or even drastically limiting them as they are a necessary evil if our brains are to operate..but keeping them in check is tricky as best. The pouchy just seems to love how they go down! I just keep repeating the mantra: "Progress, not perfection". Always do our best to make the best choices that we are able at any given moment...it never means to make the "perfect" choice...just do the best that we can under the cir****tances.

Hello everyone,
I( wanted to join in the convo. I like the fact you guys support one another through posting and I wanted to join in. I am post op 1 year and 4 months. Doing well. I was stuck at one weight but did the 5day pouch test and now my weight is moving. But I still want carbs and more carbs.

Yay Holly! I am so proud of you for exercising. You are going to be addicted to it before long!
I can't weigh in just yet. I am on the road. I am sidelined a bit with a knee problem of some sort. I have a doctor's appointment with the orthopedist as soon as he gets back from vacation but it isn't until June 10. Grrr. I am going to try water exercises later this week.

Hey Holly, I know what you mean. I actually went into my appointment and found out it isn't until tomorrow. Oooops. Oh well. Definitely keep us posted on the blood work. Yes I may get to try my swim suit on Friday. Taking Logan with me to workout and then we will swim for a bit.

Hey guys- sorry holidays throw me off-
spent two days this week back in the 120's- but am back up to 132- but that's okay I guess. I have been working out 5 days a week after joining the Y. The triplets are out of school and they offer 2 hours of childcare free each day- what a motivator to workout!!!
Plus my 19 year old is home from school and she goes and I get to spend time with her so I love that. I am actually starting to enjoy it- some days more than others- but I guess with all things that is normal.
I will be going in for another blood test this week- I will keep you posted.
Hang tough everyone- remember it's bathing suit season!!

Yes indeed. As my family drove to go shopping and we drove past all the folks out doing yard work or just out enjoying the wonderful weather. I thought of all those that have given their lives so that we could go on doing these things that we so enjoy doing.
