Hi Holly - I use - real eggs and olive oil or canola oil. i even use real butter. I figure I don't eat that much so normal amounts of fat are ok. Real fats also keep my hair and skin looking good. Marta

Are you using real eggs, egg whites or egg substitutes? What kind of oil are you using? Thanks- Holly

Rich, thank you for bringing that to our attention. Very good point. Your right I really do freak out over a lb or 2. Then I think back what did I do wrong....lol. Nothing and I just can't figure it out. Now thinking back, salt is the one thing I have refused to give up so I do retain more water after eating dinner that I salt. Anna

Ladies, I can't believe you are fretting over 1 or 2 lbs. Let's look at a few things. 1) Water weighs 8.345 lbs per gallon or 1.08 lbs per pint or 0.92 oz per ounce of water. 2) You all retain water at times during your menstrual cycle. 3) There is much less of you now so the amount of water retained is a higher percentage of your total weight. 4) A gain of 1.5 lbs is only equal to 3 glasses of water. Took me a while many years ago to realize why my sister would buy the same outfit in two different sizes if she really liked it. Then I realized unlike me she was hard put to weight 100 lbs soaking wet and when she retained water it was enough to change the size of her clothing that she needed two different sizes. Retaining 1 pint of water now is a gain of 1 - 2% of your total weight whereas previously it was closer to 1/4 - 1/2%. Noticeable vs not So please don't be disheartened by the fluctuations in your weight. Mother Nature made you that way. Have a great day. Rich

I know exactly what you mean Suz. Oh well at least with the lb making such a huge difference it will help us to stay on target. Anna

Thanks Anna! I am pretty excited about it. I still have a ways to go until I get to goal but it helps me to focus on what I have lost instead of the 30-40 some odd pounds that I still need to lose (depending on which doc I am talking to). I find that I am always smiling. When I was just in Walmart, I turned the corner and was smiling for no reason and this man did a double-take and then told me that seeing my smiling face made his day. Well, that made my day! LOL Hugs, Katy
