You are so not a hypochondriac- if you had not persued some of your medical concerns you could be very, very sick- if not gone- today. You know your body best and you've proved that. Don't let it go- it doesn't sound right.
When you were sick I let my iron levels drop to 4- had iron infusions and then ended up with an immediate blood transfusion later. This surgery- although wonderful and I would do it again in a heartbeat- can really set us up for some unpleasant other medical issues. Perhaps not through direct cause and effect but definitely makes us more prone.
That said- you sound great. Hang in there. Don't let those voices mess with you- you work on yours and I'll work on mine and we can each throw in a few prayers!!

Hi Holly. I'm feeling better, but am having some issues now that concern me. I have developed ANOTHER hernia, but when I saw the Doc last he said it was small enough that we wouldn't worry about it. It's become a very sore spot now, so I fear that my bowels are protruding again. I can feel pressure on my ribs when I sit and am VERY uncomfortable...to top it all off I can hear the bowel sounds and see movement in that area that I shouldn't be seeing. I'm not sure what they can do to stop this from happening, but it's becomeing a real headache. I am just going to watch it for awhile and see if it gets any better. I feel like I'm becoming a hypochondriac...even though I know it's all valid, I just feel like I'm being whiney and should just get over it.
Yeah my BMI is low but it was worse until about a week ago. I had dipped down to near 18, but have put some weight on to bring it up a bit. It's tough dealing with those voices...

Lori-
It's so good to see you back!!! How are you feeling?
WOW- your BMI is low- my lowest is 20 and I certainly heard about it. Are you getting negative comments or positive ones? It's bizarre how different people can carry weight so differently. I battle voices in my head too- not sure I'll ever feel really thin. It sounds as though you are happy with your weight and that is great. After everything you've been through you deserve a little contentment!!!
Great week to you too!!!

HI EVERYONE!
I'm sneaking back in.
I hadn't posted or even been on OH at all recently, just kinda gettin out of the groove, but this week, although a lil late, I thought I'd post. Still dealing with those inner voices that tell me I'm eating too much or that if I gain a few pounds (that I might actually need to put back on, to be honest) that I'm going to let it get out of control again. I have frequent conversations with my husband and friends about just what weight is right for ME. My goal weight was quite a bit higher than where I am, but I have grown content with this weight and have learned to love this thinner version of me. So, as I battle the voices in my head
I'm still trying to keep some measure of sanity. Here are my most recent stats.

Have a great week!!!

Hi Karen! I can relate to what you are going thru at this stage in the game and I wanted to let you know that you are not alone. One website that I like to use for menu ideas is sparkpeople.com, the also have sparkrecipes.com where you can log on and get recipe ideas. Sparkpeople will plan you a daily menu, show you what your daily calorie range should be and help you track all that. Janie is so right in that admitting that you are going in the wrong direction is the first and biggest step. So you have gotten over the hardest part..now just get back to basics and check in with us and let us know how things are going. Good luck with your upcoming surgery and I hope you recover fast and be able to work out in the water again.
Steph

Good morning ladies-
looks like a great week for everyone- I agree with Janie- it is pretty unpredictable- at times I just never know...
My window is 125- 130, which has moved from 130-135.
Currently I'm at 126 -but I did hit 124 this week which was very nice, although a little scary. It just keeps me wanting more. It's very hard for me because I know a lot of other people look pretty thin at this BMI, but I look good- I don't look too thin at all. In fact, my MIL told me I look less gaunt now than when I had lost the weight so quickly. That made me a little nervous- I weigh less now and look bigger? I'll try and post a more recent pic today.
I guess it was a pretty good week considering I had my 20 yr old's birthday on Tuesday, the triplets on Weds (yes- three cakes), my husband's birthday on friday and a bbque on Saturday. There's a lot of junk in my house that needs to be tossed ASAP.
Great week everyone-
Holly

Hey Karen- I think it took a lot of courage for your to come out here and ask for help, recogniizing that you still have a problem. But you know what, the first and the hardest part is admiting to yourself that there is a problem. You're beyond that though. Not only are you admittting that you still have a problem, you have already lost 100 lbs AND you have this wonderful tool that you know how to work.
You've lost 100 lbs, can you believe that? Try focusing more on your ahceivements, you have done wonderul. Go back to the baiscs, protein first and drink lots of water. Get the reeses out of the house though (too tempting, I know!)
Good luck to you! I hope you start feeling better soon (((hugss))))

Hey everyone! Congrats Anna and Steph on the weight loss, can you believe we can still lose weight this far out? I've also had bad eating days and woke up the next day feeling HUGE and got on the scale and didn't gain an ounce. Then there have been times that I would eat healthy, drink only water, exercise and yet I would gain weight the next day. Crazy!! So, take it when you can get i. Ya know?
Still holding steady at about 120-122. Have a great week,
