Topic: RE: Monday Morning Weigh-in's
sorry you are still dealing w/ the smoke. That must be horrible for your lungs. How are the people w/ asthma and breathing issues coping?
I wish my kids started school so soon! LUCKY YOU! We are all ready for school to start I think. We have a bunch more to do though this Summer, so we better get a move on it. I think my dh wants us to try camping this summer. In a tent nonetheless. I am totally not into sleeping in tent on a hard ground for my vacation. lol!
Your weight is like mine. I am usually within a 2 lb window each week and if I go above that I freak. Then I'll drink a ton of water and pee the lb or two off. LOL, I know TMI. sorry!

I am so relieved to hear that there doesn't seem to be anything serious to find at the moment. It's great news that your EKG is normal...a good electrical system is an important thing to have ;o****ep us posted...and though I didn't comment on the other MMWI thread....congrats on dropping 5# this week!

UGH Stephanie, doesn't that drive you crazy when they can't figure out what's going on? I guess no news is better than bad news, but I know you want to know what's going on so you can treat it. I agree, no salt in food would be blah. I don't use a ton of salt, but I do like some on my food. Are you still keeping up w/ your water intake?
I hope they find out what's causing this and praying that it's a minor issue.
How are you doing now? I know, besides medically, you doing ok??? Hope so. ***hugs****

Well, it definitely sounds like they are trying their best, but how frustrating to still not know! Good luck with the gallbladder issue and your 18 month check up.

Topic: RE: S T E P H A N I E!!!!!
Hey Janie!! I always wanted to see my name in the Title!! Lol I just posted a recap of what has been going on with all the doctors appt and test that I had run...and basically have all come back normal and they still don't know why I am swelling so much. I have two more appts next week and the cardiologist wants me to do another echocardiogram in 6 months and said to not add salt to my food...I like are you serious? Lol Food with out salt is not food! lol
But I normally don't add alot of salt to my food anyway...I use other non salt alternatives. But I am going to start paying more attentiion to my sodium intake especially when having prepackaged foods. Thanks again for checking up on me!! ((HUGS))

Topic: Update on my Doctor's Appt
Hey ladies...thank you so much for your prayers, concerns and thoughts!! I can not begin to tell you how much I appreciate this board!! You guys are so a great support system!
Basically they still don't know what is causing me to have all the swelling, my ct of the abd and pelvis showed that the swelling was not only in my lower right leg, but also in my abdomen and thighs as well. The right side of my heart is mildly enlarge but functioning normally (had to get a echocardigram). But my internal medicine doctor still wanted me to see a cardiologist to be on the safe side. So I went there today and he did an EKG and did not find anything abnormal. So we still don't know. He said it could be due to be heavy so long that my breathing was strained and caused the right side of my heart to have to work too hard to get blood to my lungs (never had any symptoms of that so I am not really buying his answer). He also stated that my asthma could cause the problems as well. I have to go back to see the internal medicine doctor on Next Tuesday and I guess she will decide what to do from there. Sounds like after all this poking, proding and running from doctor to doctor, the answer is still the same...they don't know and don't worry about it. Also in the midst of all this testing, they found that I have small gallstones. I am not having any symptoms or anything from it so she is not pressed to do anythign about it. But my surgeron said that with gb patients, they usually treat the gallstones aggressively becuase if the stones move out of the gallbladder, it is usuallly treated by operating thru the stomach which is not an option for gb patients. My 18 month check up is on the 31 and I will know what he wants to do with the gallstones at that time.
I feel fine but I am still having lots of swelling and I am bit frustrated because I am still at square one. I am pleased that the internal medicine doctor has done a very through job of trying to find out the problem and give me a solution. So if anything different comes out of my appts next week, I will definitely let you ladies know.
Again, thanks for the support and concern! You all are the best EVER!!
