Good Monday Morning My January Lovelies!
It's sunny for the moment here in CA...but more rain is coming our way!! Yippy!! It seems the groundhog was right and we have storms lined up for the rest of the week. We need rain so badly that any moisture is a blessing. Now, on with the numbers:

Surgery/high: 251.5
Last week: 140.8
Today: 140.8
Wow...exactly the same. My body seems to love the ".8". Weird.

Okay ladies...let's hear what you have to say for yourselves this week. Don't be shy, don't hold back, and don't hide!!!! lol. Individual accountability helps us all to stay in touch and stay on track. So, get posting ...

Was at 118 during the week- but after a meal at Outback and a few desserts here and there I am back where I should be.  I seem to ALWAYS remember to eat on the weekends!!  :)  I am still only exercising 2 x's a week and I feel like a sloth- but I don't want to lose anymore- oh well...

Have a good week everyone!!!

He-he...the image of a sloth always makes me crack up. Have you ever seen this blog? The humor isn't for everyone...but it's right up my twisted alley.

Sorry for the "bad words" in the title...but that's what it's called. Anyway, there is a posting about a sloth that just cracks me up.

As for not losing but wanting to exercise or stay active....lift those weights!!!! Don't worry about too much cardio until you build some muscle weight...then you can eat like crazy and not gain. I'm not trying to lose either, but muscle always looks better than just thin so I keep trying to add yoga, strength exercises, and just plain lifting into my activities.

Hey Suz!  Did you mean to type 104.8??  Since you said it was the same as last week, I know you what you meant.  You have been doing a wonderful job at maintaing.

Up again..but you know I know last week was a good week for not grazing between my meals and exercise so I am not discuraged.  I will continue to make healthful eating decisions and get my work out on and see you next week with a loss.  I know I have some fluid build up as my ankles and thighs have that weird feeling in them..kind of all tingly and such.  I have an appt tomorrow with my internal meds doctor and will disuss this with her.  TTYL

Ooops! You're right...I transposed the numbers. I'd be in serious trouble if it were 104. It's now been edited.

I sure hope you are able to find out why you keep swelling. Have they ruled out a lymphatic condition?
If you are feeling good about your activity level and your eating...the numbers on the scale really don't mean too much. Staying active and healthy is the most important thing. Besides....all that exercise could be building a lot of fat-burning muscle.

Hey Suz....they just say they don't know why I am swelling...when I went to the doctor Tuesday, she just said maybe I am just extra sensitive to sodium...and I am having to go to a vascular doctor to have some test run in a few weeks...she also told me to that I could take half a water pill a day and see if that helps...but I don't know..I dont want to be on a daily prescription med if I dont have to...I do feel good about my work outs....but my eating has still been out of control. So I dont know what its going to take for me to get refocused but I have not given up.

Never, ever give up, Stephanie!!!! Take it one day at a time, one hour at a time, one meal at a time, or one bite at a time if that's what it takes. You can always turn to us for support and encouragement.

I do hope that you and your docs find a way to combat the swelling without meds. I guess being on a super-low sodium diet is difficult in this day and age of processed foods...everything has oodles of sodium added!
