What are your "Top 5"?
MY Top 5 Things I LOVE about not being fat are:
1) SHOPPING- anywhere I want and always finding something that looks great.
2) Being a good role model for my kids & students about being healthy
3) Having my husbad think I am super sexy
4) Attention from men NOT my husband (one of my students told me that his dad, after Parent-Teacher conferences, said that I was "too hot to be a teacher" lol!)
5) Not living my life in fear of being too fat... I loved Disney World this summer when I did not have to worry about fitting into plane seats, ride seats, being too fat for the weight limit, etc.
So what are your favorite things?!

Hmmm, only the top five, huh? Lets see if I can narrow the list down:
1. Not feeling embarrassed for my husband or my kids to be seen with me.
2. Feeling and looking like a normal gal of my age. I finally feel young and energetic after nearly 20 years of being heavy, then overweight, then obese, then downright fat.
3. I have to take your #2....being a good role model for my family. For me that is one of the most important aspects of being a fine mother and wife.
4. NO MORE SNORING!! Sounds like a small thing, I know...but as soon as I started snoring, I suddenly realized just how fat I really was. As if all of the mounting medical issues weren't enough of a clue. duh.
5. Last, but certainly not least as these are in no particular order...it's a toss up between being able to shop for clothes anywhere and not minding to have my picture taken anymore.
Life after RNY is good! This surgery and it's gifts are priceless to me.
Thanks for the great topic, Belle...it's nice to remind myself of the many great things this new way of life has brought to me.
