Hi Everyone

I know, its been quite some time since I have visited this website. I'm doing well, gained a few pounds and I'm not too happy about it. I'm doing well with my pregnancy, I have surgery scheduled for this Friday. They are going to place a stitch in my cervix to keep me from dilating too soon. I'll also get weekly injections when I am around 16 weeks, that three weeks from now, to keep my body from going into labor too soon. I now have hypo-glicemia and gestational diabetes. Ugh...both, can't it be one or the other. I have to stick my finger every day and write down my numbers. I am constantly in the doctors office, about once a week now. Hopefully things will slow down as I progress through my pregnancy. The baby is doing wonderful, and right on track. I've had two ultrasounds thus far. I am due April 22nd and I am feeling excited. They kids are happy, they are 13, 11 & 8, I know, what the hell was I thinking. They are grown almost and you want to go and have another one. I've thought of that many of times, but I have finally accepted the fact, that I can't go back. I'm taking all my vitamins, plus folic acid and extra iron for the pregnancy, plus Vitamin D pills once a week due to low blood counts and my regular Flinstone Vitamins and Calcium (Tum) supplements. Talk about a pill popper! LOL. Anyways, I wish you all well and I am so proud of you, very very proud. You should all be proud of yourself. My current weight is 171. I've gotton down to 144 at my lowest and have slowly/quickly creeped back up to 171. I will accept the fact that I have to gain around 20 pounds to be healthy for this child, but once this child is born, I will be hiring a personal trainer and getting myself down again. I have also saved money to pay for a tummy tuck once this kid is born. Anyone know what the average cost of one is? I have around $2400 saved thus far with 8 more months to save. Love you all my Januar lovelies!!!! Take care and have a wonderful day.

Hugs,
Laura

WOW- that's a lot of Dr appts- and that's a lot of kids too!!!  :)
You sound fabulous.  Putting your baby's health first sounds like a wise choice to me- there's no better reason for putting on a few pounds!!!  :)
Please keep us posted!!!

Laura!!! You can worry about losing the weight after the baby is born. I have a friend that had gastric bypass done 5 years ago and just had a baby 3 months ago. She's almost back down to her prepregnancy weight. She did say that her body has shifted and she has to buy new clothes though. Whatever happens, just think you'll have a little tiny soon! Congrats!
