Good Monday Morning My January Lovelies! And especially you, dear Stephanie...good to see you manning your rightful post again :o).
My weekend was busy...not much time for studying and that's really bad because I have a big test online tonight through tomorrow(we have access to the test until tomorrow). Saturday was filled with errands and chores all.day.long. Sunday we went with friends to San Francisco to see the 49er's/Eagles game...it was great. We tailgated, ate kabobs, fruit, veggies, cheese, salami, and Triscuits. All I drank was Fuze. In the game I had water and peanuts. I was such a good girl. And, Philly won! I'm such a traitor...I only root for East Coast teams. Now, if we're talking basketball? Sacramento Kings all the way, baby!!! I'm such a dork.
Anyway, here's my numbers:
Surgery/high: 251.5
Last Monday: 140.3
Today: 138.8
Maintaining.....
Make it a great week, ladies!

Good luck on your test tonight Suz and you did have a busy weekend..but it was busy in a good way! Glad that your team won too!! Not such a great football weekend here...TN Vols lost to GA and the cowboys lost...I am not big into sports but most of my friends like those two teams so I feel there pain. Enjoy your week too!
Actually, you'll be pleased to know that *my* team is really the Tennessee Titans...but they seldom show those games out here unless they are playing the 49er's or the Raiders. I have loved them since they were the Oilers in Houston...but sadly have to love them from afar. I just wanted the Eagles to win simply because I can't stand the 49er's.

That's almost exactly what I did...root for the east coast team just to be different. But, there were lots of Eagles fans there...so I was in good company, but the people I was with were 49er fans.

Good afternoon Steph and Suz- you guys are doing awesome!!!
My weight this week fluctuated from 138-132...Yikes!!!!
I know nuts are good for me and a good source of healthy fats... but I have got to get them out of my house- I cannot stop eating them, I sit with the bag or can and they just go in my mouth one after the other!!! I remember someone talking about knitting and how their Dr recommended it- well I am thinking of looking into a class cuz I think that might help me.
Had another set of labs drawn Thursday of last week- Dr called twice this morning- of course everything is lower than the last time, the Vit D, iron, ferritin, hemoglobin... so now my PCP is sending me to Hematologist- which is actually great. I mean it certainly can't hurt and although I LOVE my PCP, I don't think she quite understands the post RNY issues. Currently I am set up for an infusion 2x/month, with my labs drawn every 3 weeks.
I actually feel pretty good about my crappy blood test results- I was beginning to think they thought I was a hypochondriac, or a complete and total whiner!!! "HELLO- I'm TIRED!!! I wasn't this tired when I had mono!!!" Should a person my age have to nap everyday?
The only test that came back higher was my thyroid- so we're upping those meds too- thank God. Maybe my weight will settle down a bit.
Other than that everything's good. The triplets have their final soccer game this weekend which is good because it's starting to get a little cold here in Colorado.
Good week to everyone!!!
Holly/Brit

Hey Brit! Glad your PCP is sending you out to a specialist. Please keep us posted on your health. And boy do I feel you on the nuts. I will sit there and just eat them all day so I stopped buying them! lol I did not even like nuts before surgery and now all I want is nuts and peanut butter. My breakfast is usually a mini wheat bagel with peanut butter! lol Had that this morning along with a banana. YUMMERS!! And wow your weight did fluctuate but it was in the right direction. Have a great week!
