Anti Depressants-Extra LONG Post Venting
Wow, girl! I feel like I just got caught up on the last 3 months! Sorry that life is sooooo crazy right now. I would say that it will get calmer, but I think we both know it won't!
About the meds, from all that you have going on, I cannot see how it could be a bad idea. I have never done anti-depressants, but I have done some anti-anxiety meds. I used to have a really stressful career before I quit and became a teacher. I just couldn't let things go, and would come home and stress about EVERYTHING from the day. The meds did help, but ultimately a career-change is what cured my major anxieties. You probably don't have that luxury, and honestly, it sounds like work really isn't that big of a stresser for you. I don't take anything regulary now, but I do still take Trazadone (I think that is it****assionally before bed to help me go to sleep. (I sit and obsess over things and cannot sleep.) It is some serious sh@*. One pill and I feel like I had a 12 pack to drink. Anyway, I would encourage you to be open minded about it and if one type doesn't seem to do thing, try something else. Really, what could it hurt? It might really help you let the ex boyfriend be a distant memory, deal with you daughter, survive your home improvements, AND get you where you need to be emotionally to take control back over your eating.
GOOD LUCK!

Oh Stephanie, you sure have so much going on in your life. I've been on and off antidepressants and I do not notice a difference, but that's just me. Now, I've been on xanax which is for anxiety and that helps me a lot. I don't think it would hurt to try the "happy pills" (hehehehe) and if they aren't for you, then you taper off or stop.
