let's update
I know some of you guys are still losing, some maintaining and some are struggling.
I'm struggling- am up to 136 from 124 and am out of my acceptable window. I think I'm exercising enough- quite frankly- I think I'm just eating too much.
Do you still track?
Do you count carbs? If so- what are your goals?
Do you count fat?
What's your average caloric intake?
What's your average protein intake?
What's your average workout like?
How many days a week do you exercise?
Are you getting all your water in?
Do you still do shakes for protein?
Are you taking all your vitamins?
I know this info will help keep us honest or will help to motivate others-
thanks for your time-
Brit

Okay, here goes:
Do you still track? Sometimes. I will do it for a month, then stop for a couple, and then back again. But, when I track I tend to become too concerned about calories and I tend to lose weight that I have no business losing.
Do you count carbs? If so- what are your goals? Never...I just try to keep them to a minimum. When I start to crave them or fight with myself to keep from reaching for them first...I know it's time to cut back.
Do you count fat?Never...I like food to taste good and fat makes it taste good. I don't eat anything low fat except nf milk just because I like the taste better.
What's your average caloric intake?1400-1600+
What's your average protein intake?70+
What's your average workout like?No work out for me...I lose weight if I do. I do walk a lot, though. I still need to lift weights on a regular basis.
How many days a week do you exercise?None specifically.
Are you getting all your water in?Mostly, though it comes in the form of chai tea or Fuze on most days.
Do you still do shakes for protein?Perhaps a couple of times a week...but not on a regular basis.
Are you taking all your vitamins?I'm slacking in that department. I am taking all of my calcium since I bought BA calcium citrate cinnamon flavored lozenges. I pop them several times a day...they are yummy! I think I need to buy the same brand of chewable multi vits...I think I will be more likely to pop those in my mouth during the day, too. B's are easy to get in, as are iron since my levels are so high that I only need them a couple of times a week.

WELL, if we are being honest...
Do you still track? NOPE
Do you count carbs? If so- what are your goals? NOPE
Do you count fat? NOPE
What's your average caloric intake? 2000
What's your average protein intake? 60-70
What's your average workout like? NON EXISTANT
How many days a week do you exercise? 0
Are you getting all your water in? NOPE
Do you still do shakes for protein? NOPE
Are you taking all your vitamins? NOPE
BOY! Do I feel like a failure! I really try to get in my vitamins, but I rarely get them all every day. I haven't worked out since last spring, and am hoping to get back on the wagon after halloween when life is not so manic. As far as water, that is always something I have done well, but have been having problems with it the last few weeks. And as far as journaling, I haven't don't that either since school started back in session. The only upside here is that I am at my goal (actually under by 7 pounds) and my weight is holding steady. It is still scarey how much I have slacked off those routines I developed that first year out!
Good post! Really has made me think!

Belle, you are not a failure!! If you are eating 2000 calories a day and maintaining...you are obviously doing something right. We could all make better choices here and there. But...take those vitamins!!!!!!

Hey Holly/Brit!!!
Do you still track? Not on paper but I will in my head to see what my night time snack will be
Do you count carbs? not really, but I very rarely eat bread and when I do it's wheat. I have been muncing on those Snyder's Pretzels (which are delicous! )I know those are high in carbs.
Do you count fat? I don't count it, but I'm cautious of what I eat
What's your average caloric intake? 1500
What's your average protein intake? I have no clue!
What's your average workout like? ha, chasing the twins around. I really don't sit down all day!
How many days a week do you exercise? 24/7 lol!
Are you getting all your water in? hmmmm does diet coke count? lol!
Do you still do shakes for protein? no
Are you taking all your vitamins?yes
Now Holly/Brit - did your answer? What's your BMI I know you're still in normal range. Maybe that's where your body wants to be at??
I know this info will help keep us honest or will help to motivate others-
thanks for your time-

Ok here's my deal.... AND my advice.. ha ha!
Do you still track? I have in the past, when I thought I was eating to much only to find out I really wasn't.
Do you count carbs? If so- what are your goals? NOPE
Do you count fat? NOPE, NEVER have
What's your average caloric intake? 1600-2200
What's your average protein intake? Hate to say it.. I don't keep track... maybe 60? BUT I do think Protein FIRST when I eat.
What's your average workout like? I do 20 minutes of cardio.. and 20 minutes of weights
How many days a week do you exercise? I aim for 3
Are you getting all your water in? I'm really bad at getting in my water, But I try... 36 oz.
Do you still do shakes for protein? NOPE and NEVER did
Are you taking all your vitamins? Absolutely!!! I take a pre-natal vitamin every night before bed (sits at my bedside) Calcium, I struggle with, but try and get 3 in a day, I take a B12 once a week.
Now here's my advice... Are you eating OFTEN enough? Sounds weird.. But I eat every 2-3 hours... I don't care what it is.. But I do... At work I'm constantly eating... I really think it keeps my metabolism on a up roar! My BODY is NEVER in starvation mode like it was when I was fat! I use to skip meals and stuff myself. Now I just constantly stick something in my mouth. I've maintained a 140lbs for 10 months now. (give or take 5 lbs)
BMI of 22 is perfect you know!!
Your to hard on yourself.
Also as far as the bladder infection goes... which Ive had problems with... I started taking Cranberry pills! Haven't had a infection since.
Try it!
Don't panic, your doing great!!
