Hi Guys...long time since I had started this thread...and I am sooooo not in a good place.  Please keep me in your prayers that I am able to refocus and what it takes to get back on track....I am only 14 pounds from 200 and unfortunately....it has not scared me to stop the mindless eating and grazing I have been doing for the last 8 months......I feel so out of control and just don't know what to do.....

I'm up 2.2 lbs but my clothes are fitting very loose.  I am wondering if it is weight gain from working out.  I just started back last week.  I know some of it is from yesterday we had a BBQ and I ate more bread and grazed more then normal.  Oh well I am still in my range.

Hey Anna:  I have been to a couselor and I am currently working with a life coach to help me deal with my daughter and the stress she is going thru and causing me to be out of control.  Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers!! I really appreciate you!

Good Monday Morning My January Lovelies!!
I have had a busy morning finishing my nursing application packets. I had an appointment with a couselor at one college this morning, and have another set for tomorrow at a second college. I am emotionally whooped

So, up-down, up-down...welcome to maintaining.

Stephanie...I am so sorry that you are struggling with your eating and emotional ties to food. It can be quite a battle, I know. I could give you the pat advice that we have all heard about going back to the basics and all that crap...but you already know these things, so I won't. The only real advice I can offer is this:
1. See a counselor if you haven't already done so. They may not cure you or work miracles, but it may help you to talk to someone about your reasons for turning to food. Perhaps the act of really talking to someone about your troubles will take some of your burdeons away and allow you to be good to yourself.
2. This is the practical, food related part: Log every thing that you eat, starting right now. Put it into your online food diary (which ever one you used to use) and be honest! Eat what ever you want, but write down every morsel that crosses your lips!!! I think that you will be amazed how much control it allows you to take back. I lost a few pounds without even trying just by doing this again. It isn't fun, and it can be a pain in the butt...however, it really does help to keep one accountable and in control of food by not allowing ourselves to mindlessly graze and munch. Again, eat what ever you are willing to write down!!! Just write it down. Our minds sometimes make adjustments in our behavior just through repetition and habit. Also, if we don't like what we see on the page, it tends to allow us to think twice (or three times, lol) about whether we really want or need to eat xyz.
I wish you peace in the coming weeks, sweetie...you can do this!!
Make it a great week ladies!

Hey Suz...I have been to a couselor..actually about 4 and now am working with a life coach thru my insurance..Even went thru an eating disorde clinic and still having issues.  And I track on spark people all the time, my work out and food intake and what is really sad is the numbers that added up did not scare me like they should have.  I was like wow...oh what can I eat now?  It  is a twisted cycle that I am caught up in but I will find my way back.  I think the biggest problem for me is that I dont have the coping skills to deal with the stress in my life and I have gotten off schedule with my food and water and supplements.   So that is what I am working on now, just having structure in those areas of my life.  I have not lost all hope.

Hey Stacey...I will binge on the protein stuff too but I am going to start back reaching for protein snacks instead of junk that has no nutritional value....and The 5 day pouch test sets me up for failure...once I finish the 5 days am I like whoo whoo I did good and now I can have...and go right back to over eating the things I was supposed to be weaned off.  I done it twice and had good results but always went back to my old behaviors.  And I will definitely stay on the boards.  Isolation is part of the problem...when things aren't going well, that is when you need support the most so I am here to get all this support you ladies are so wonderful at giving!! Thanks for the encouragement!
