Good evening ladies- I think psychologically I'm here late cuz I've had 2 bad weeks and I probly need a kick in the pants. I've been having crappy mentality of- I'll start tomorrow,or as soon as I get my period then I'll be good- this is just PMS... I am here to say next weeks post will be better- even though I think I may have said that last week- this time I mean it. Has anyone else noticed that when you put on a few pounds it goes straight to your stomach? I used to be /am still heavier on the pear shape- but wow- now I can really see it in my stomach- UGLY!!! Our anniversary and the 4th are over- time to take better care of myself- Holly

Holly - I notice a lb here or more makes my hips look large. I can't believe what a difference a few lbs can make to your body. Or is just in our heads? I know the times I've gotten on that scale and it's not what I want (even if it's over by just a pound) I feel dissapointed in myelf. I think we're so hard on ourselves because of everything we've had to go through.

Hey there everyone....It's been a long time! I hope everyone is well. I do pop out here every once in a while to see how everyone is doing. It has been a very long time since I have been out on the boards. I am just so busy with work, it is incredibly hard for me to get online. I guess that I am settling down and realizing that 105 just might be the weight were I remain. I go up to 108 over the weekend, but by Wednesday's I am back down to 105. I am still fitting size 0/1's and some 2's, if I am lucky. Clothes shopping is absolutely no fun anymore because I don't like to wear juniors or kids clothes. I want professional business clothes in my size. I have a lot of clothes that I just need to get altered. I just fear as soon as I do I will gain weight and then have to let them out, etc. Don't get me wrong, at this point, I do want to gain weight. I need to gain about 10-15 lbs to look healthier. I have to eat very often. I went to the dr office and they did a REM study and my metabolism is extremely high. I have to eat 1725 calories a day just to maintain 103 (that was almost a month ago). I eat often and small meals. The dietician wants me to get more protein in. I try, I really do. With work it is hard to journal. I was never very good at that anyway. I can pretty much eat whatever I want in moderation. I do not do well with sweets though. They make me extremely exhausted and just an overall sluggish feeling. So I try to not ever allow these. I feel best when I just resist and don't have them, but periodically I give into my desires. Then I say never again. Oh well, I guess we all know how that goes. We are going on a Hawaiin cruise in late Aug early Sept. I am hoping to build up some endurance to be able to do lots of fun excursions. I am very week in my upper arms now, so I have got to get to the gym and get with it. I swim in the pool but I just don't feel that giving me the strength or energy I will need. Well, I hope everyone is doing weel. I am still feeling extremely happy about my choice to have this surgery and if I had it to do over again, I would definitely do it. Hugs, Lindy

Lindy - I was just thinking about you. WOW girl, you really got your weight down. I couldn't imagine being 105. Why don't you like jr clothes if you don't mind me asking? I understand for business attire, but for jeans or capri's or cargos they have some cute stuff. I bet you do have trouble fitting into jr's even. I'm 5'2 about 120 and I'm in a 3. There's aren't a lot of 0's out there right? Well, hope your happy and healthy!

Hey girlie, Yeah, it's mostly because I need work clothes. I do like the casual stuff in Juniors. But I have an extremely hard time with suits. I just can't find anything that is my style. I have a very Jackie O type style when it comes to the suits I desire and it's just really hard to find them in anything less than a 2. My 2's fall off of me. And really Juniors do not have suits, or I haven't found any. I need to go to some higher end stores. I asked my best friend who has always been like a size 2/4 where she gets her stuff, but she didn't have any alternatives for me. I have tried JcPenney, Dillards, Macy's, Nordstrom's, etc. I like the 0/2's at Old Navy, the 0/1's jeans at The Gap, and anything that is a size 0/1 pretty much fits, that is if I can find it. I do feel happy and for the most part healthy. I would like to put on some weight so my face isn't so thin, but you know people who don't know I have lost really say they think I look great. I am not going to fret over it forever. I just have to realize that is the only negative side effect I have had from the surgery and to be honest, it's just vain to be too worried about it, because I prefer the healthy, skinny faced version of me over the unhealthy fatter me. I just get tired of people in support group saying they don't want to get down to skin and bones, it kind of hurts sometimes, but then I just have to realize that I understand where they are coming from. I didn't really wan to be here at this low of a weight either, but for some it's not controllable. Hugs, LIndy

I've tried the Old Navy jeans and they don't fit me right. Loose in some areas and just right in the othersl It's like the 2's are great in some of the areas(if you can find a short) but are baggy in my thighs and my, well how do you say it, crotch area? lol! I've tried The Gap Jeans too( well just one pair) and I liked those. I've had good luck w/ Paris Blue Jeans from Kohl's. They are desribed as "low rise" but aren't that low if you ask me. Here's a link: http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/juniors/jeans1/basic5pocket/PRD~260102/Paris+Blues+Basic+F lare+Jeans.jsp. I have those and then these I like a lot too: http://www.kohls.com/upgrade/webstore/product_page.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524881185197 &FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374752619847&bmUID=1215610523039 the first are 8 inch low rise and the second is 8 1/2, which is perfect for me. They also come in short, you wear a short or a petite size right? Before I had my TT my jeans would always fall down, drove me crazy, I'd constantly be pulliing them up. It's not like that now. Oh. one more pair: http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/juniors/jeans1/basic5pocket/PRD~260106/Paris+Blues+Flare+C afe+Jeans.jsp. I just love their jeans. I have been looking for 100 % cotton jeans it seems like forever and couldn't find them anywhere. Yesterday I had to run into Steve and Barry's (just to look around, yeah right!) and found a couple pair of 100 % cotton jeans. I bought them, but not sure if I'm going to keep them. Sometimes I don't care for the quality of S&B clothes, but these seem nice. You can never tell until you wash and wear them, then it's too late to return. Now as far as tops, I don't care for the jr tops, they look way too young for me. Some at Kohl's are fine, but I really haven't found a place where I just love to get my shirts at. Just my pants. I actually hate buying shirts fir the summer because of my arms. Do you have a problem with loos skin under your arms? My dh said he doesn't even notice, trust me it's there. I hate it. I love the Fall so I wear 3/4 sleeve shirts. I bet it would be hard to buy work clothes. Do you have to wear suits or can you dress business casual?
