I also posted this in another message below but just in case no one saw that one: Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. It really means a lot to me to have so many people that I've never met, but feel like I already know, praying for me. It's nice to know that we are here for eachother through the good and the bad (((((hugs)))) I feel so much better today (almost human again) The twins are still at Grandma and Grandpa's house today and that has been a lifesaver for me. I'm going to take advantage of that and rest all day.Which is so not like me. I am always up and doing something and never have lazy days. I always get ready, do my hair, my makeup and get dressed everday. I honestly don't feel complete unless I am dresses completely down to what earrings and bracelet I'm wearing to match my jeans and shirts! Crazy!! But I know doing nothing is what helped me out yesterdary. I slept most of the day yesterday only getting up to go potty, I was so tired. This infection and weight gain really took a toll on my body. I am now down to 138, so it is getting better. The infection is going away I believe. I still have redness and it's still hot to the touch, but just less of it. I am taking the antibitoic 4 times a day, so I think Dr. Hing is being pretty aggressive in treating the infection. This was the worse pain I've ever felt. I know, it sounds crazy, worse pain just from a tummy tuck? But I think the pain came from the infection and 20# fluid gain mainly in my tummy area. It was awful, but I can tell I am on the road to recovery. I don't think I would have had the TT had I known all of the problems I would experience.. Maybe later I'll feel different. Everyone is different and I'm sure the majority don't experience what I did, so don't let that scare you away Everyone is different, Look at Belle she was out shopping the next day (brat!). I might have experienced the extreme pain from the tightening of the abdominal muscles or the vertical extension and should have stuck with a basic tummy tuck, maybe I could have avoided this infection? Who knows? Dave has been wonderful taking care of me, giving me my meds when they are due, cleaning my wound where the infection is (tons of puss just pouring out) and one day the poor guy had to give me a bath. I was in that much pain! I have pics (not of him giiving me the bath) but before and after of the TTand will send the before and then after when all healed. Holly, you know as well asI do , how hard it is to stay off that scale. But you are so right, I was getting so freaiked out! Thanks again my friends

Janie, I am so very glad you are feeling much better today. Just lay there and let that hubby spoil you. Much thanks from me to Grandma and Grandpa. Boy do I know how important that is. I would love to see the pics when you are all healed. So sorry you had to suffer through an infection ((((hugs)))) Anna

Janie...I am so relieved to hear that you are heading down the road to recovery...slow and painful as it may be. You'll be back to your active self in no time....and looking like a million bucks, too! Take it easy and rest ...sounds like you have a great "nurse" taking care of you. ~Suz

Oh, Thank God you are starting to feel better finally! I am almost relieved to hear you have an infection, just because atleast you know now why you were in so much pain! I was starting to feel nervous that something just had to be wrong, and that it could not be normal. I am sorry you had to go through it, but I am so relieved you know what is wrong and are getting treated for it. Your experience has been so totally different than mine, and to be honest, I thought you would have a much easier recovery because my surgery seemed so major. I was so disappointed for you that you were struggling so badly! My doc has me on preventative antibiotics still that he started me before the surgery and I don't finish for another 2 days. They are a PIA to remember, but now hearing your story, I am going to be a good girl and finish them! BTW- since my drains have been out, I am experiencing some swelling that comes and goes during the day depending on my activity level. The swelling also has brought with it some soreness. Kind of funny that I wanted the drains out so badly, and it actually has caused me the first real discomfort since the initial surgery. Guess that is what I get for being impatient! Let Dave take good care of you and get lots of rest! I am very optimistic that you will feel much better very soon!

Wow Janie! I have been away from the boards for a couple of weeks just because of travel and hecticness (is that a word?). I had no idea that you were having to deal with this! I am so glad you are on the mend! I am so glad this is behind you. I guess any medical procedure has a scariness level to it! Keep recovering and don't overdo it! I am assuming bikini pics will follow in another month of so? LOL Hugs, Katy
