Hey yall
I haven't checked in here for awhile, so I figured I'd drop by and update. I'm almost 15 months out and I'm down to 225 for a total loss of 180 lbs so far. I want to lose at least 50 more pounds pre plastics, but it's very slow going right now. I go to the gym faithfully, but my eating habits could use a little work. I started attending OA meetings 1-2 times a week and they're helping a lot.
My life is 100X better these days. I can walk for miles in heels. I don't care where I park. I don't worry about riding in other ppls cars and whether or not the seatbelt will fit. I don't hold my breath when sitting down on furniture. I can shop pretty much anywhere. I can actually go places with friends and not have to worry about how far we'll have to walk or having to sit down every few minutes. I can cross my legs. People treat me like a person. Guy**** on me. I have a boyfriend! This surgery and the resulting weight loss has seriously impacted every single aspect of my life. I am so thankful every day to have had this done and I don't regret not even one second of it.
The only thing that gets me down sometimes is the excess skin. Well, that and having to adjust socially. Sometimes it's overwhelming how differently I'm treated. But, skin can be taken off and I will learn how to deal with social situations eventually.
My food of the now is teryaki tuna fillets. 33 grams of protein and so freaking good just right out of the bag.
Well, like I said, I just wanted to check in. Everyone is doing so great. Keep up the good work, guys. This has definitely been a trip.
