Monday Morning Weigh Ins

I am experiencing the same thing with the tight pants. But it is weird because my measurements are smaller. How is that possible? If I understood the trainer I work out with correctly. The muscle building comes from the core and it pushes fat to the surface. I work out doing an overall weight/strength training sets type workout 3 times a wee****ep my heart rate up during this time by monitoring it with a chest strap heart rate monitor that has a watch with it. I also do cardio walking workouts of at least 2 miles but sometimes 4 plus miles 4 times a week. I may add cycling or just active lifestyle stuff. I could do more, but I am pretty happy with what I am doing. I love it when I am done and really look forward to the weight work but I have to motivate myself to do the cardio. Of course half way through, I am loving it. Hugs, Katy

Good Monday Morning, My January Lovelies! This will be short and sweet today...too much to do this morning before I have to make the rounds to pick all of the kids up from school. Surgery/high: 251.5 Last Monday: 145 Today: 142.7 Loss/gain: -2.3 Okay...couldn't hold on to that 2.3 pounds to save my life. My system is determined to hover at 142 or lower. I'll give it another go this week...if it gets too be too tempting to eat crap just to stay at 145, I guess I may have to consider just staying too bony for a while and hope for some bounce back weight over the next year or so. Have a fantastic day ladies! ~Suz

I think that is a very healthy and realistic approach Suz! I would not want to get in the habit of eating more to keep a heavier weight. Your body knows what works for you and it will level off at a healthy place. Keep practicing good eating habits and things will work out the way they should. Thanks and keep up the good work.

CONGRATS Janie!!! I am sooo jealous- you don't even look like you need one- are you gonna do before and after pics? I had a rough week and by the grace of God am at 129. WOW- I've got some bad habits that I very easily revert to. I'm up 3 pounds from my lowest- but still within my 5 pound window- although was out of it most of the week. I got most of the bad carbs out of the house so I binged on superhuge quantities of nuts and cinnamin sugar toast. Although I did hit the kids Valentine's day candy a few times- just the fact that we still have Valentine's Day candy sitting around is a miracle in and of itself. I know I'm supposed to eat in moderation and not have anything off limits- but wow- those carbs are addicting. If I start off the day with carbs- I'm almost doomed- I know it's gonna be a rough day... so I try and do protein instead. Here's to a good week this week!!! Holly

Hey Holly! Thank you and YES I do have a lot of skin that hangs. It bothers me so much (not as much as before WLS and it was fat) but still. I am just so blesses and thrilled that insurance is paying for that. I'm kicking in the $$ for a breast lift though. Can't wait. WOW you are doing awesome @ 129. What's your BMI? I can eat more now too which is scary. I am on the scale at least 2 times a day though monitoring my weight. I freak when it goes past 125. lol!

Janie, that's awesome, I'm so happy for you. You are the trail blazer of our January group! I hope you will share the details, so we can all learn from you. I would like to have a circumferential body lift and breast implants around October is when I shooting for. How did you get the insurance to pay for the TT?

Thanks!!!!! We have BCBS of Michigan and their requirements for a tummy tuck aren't as strict as some of the other insurance companies. They require a 100 lb weight loss, documentation from your PCP stating that your rash on the tummy is not going away from treatment ( I had to see my PCP once a month for 3 months) My PCP forwarded my info to the PS and they called the same day to say I could go ahead and schedule surgery. BCBS doesn't even need to preapprove this, the PS just needs to make sure he has the required documents on file in case they were audited. It was very easy to get approved. I'm really blessed, my dh's company recently switched health insurance co's from Aetna to BCBS (beginning of this year) I hear that Aetna is very strict and rarely approve TT. I'll be paying for my breastlift though. I can't wait!! Yes, I have before pics and ugh they are gross!!!! lol! I'll take after pics for sure! Thanks again.
