Ugh...I am right there with you on wanting Spring to hurry up and get here. Although, I am sure that it is much worse for you getting through the winter up there than it is for me over here! Congrats on the good test results! That seems to be the only "real" way to know if we are on track or not. The loss is good, but not at the price of truly being healthy inside.

Surgeon claims it was swelling from manipulation around my pouch from having a internal hernia. I couldnt eat for like a week. Some people are telling me Im looking to skinny in the face. Should I be offended? Im wearing a size 10 jeans... but their slightly baggy... Im in a M shirt. I think I was smaller bone than some realized actually. I had alot of FAT! LOL Hope everyone is doing well!! I go back to work tommorow... Anxious for that!! Have a good week everyone!!! Stacey

Hey Stacey - glad you're doing better! I would try not to get offended (although I've been told that and I am not sure if I like it or not!) I honestly think people are so used to seeing us heavy, we lose all this weight and it's a shock to thme!! You've done a fantastic job!!

Thanks so much for posting this week Beth. We all still need accountability no matter how far out we get I have lost wayy too much weight this week. Unfortuantly the stress of everything has caused my tummy to stay upset and I've lost weight that I would prefer I hadn't this week. HW 242 LW 132 CW 129 It's been a wild ride. As many of you know I was sick last summer with a small bowel obstruction. The issues have continued since, but according to my WLS surgeon are common and nothing to worry about. With the news this last week that I have a rare form of cervical cancer, which is more common to gladular areas-such as the bowels or lungs, my GYN has requested that we do a little more research on the obstruction and has sent me to another Gastro. who he believes will get to the bottom of the issue. I met with the gastro last week and although he doesn't believe the obstruction is cancer, he promises we'll get it resolved, but believes a bowel resection (i think that's what it's called) is required. If he does need to do that they'll do that with the hysterectomy. We still have a few more test required before we get to the hysterectomy, but things are really looking up. God is sustaining and carrying us through. Thank you all for your messages and prayers. My husband Dwight & I are so thankful to each of you for your support. Love you guys Lori

Alright Lori...you need to do your best to get that weight back up...gotta keep up your strength and health! That's an order! LOL I do hope that the resection and hysterectomy will resolve all of your issues...at least it seems that there is a good plan in place. That must be a relief to you and your husband to know that your doctors have thought this out. I do wish you the very best at the end of this...you deserve to be healthy and happy!

Oh Lori, what an answer to prayers if it isn't cancer. Gosh, that would be a huge relief. Still lifting you up in prayer hon. And Suz is right, gotta keep your energy and eat and not lose more weight. Can you believe someone is telling you that? Last year you would have laughed huh? Take care and keep us posted. ****HUGS*****

I am praying and will continue to do so! Keep us updated daily. We care about you and love you and don't want you to quietly deal with this kind of thing. It sounds like you have found some really good and thorough doctors to address this. Do you have a surgery date just yet? Hug and much love, Caters

I have an endoscopy and CT scan for this Thursday to look at the obstructed area on my bowel and the cone biopsy to stage the cervical cancer will likely follow either Friday or early next week. Those are the only procedures we can schedule until a final determination is made from the other tests we are running. If I were to need chemo or radiation they prefer to leave my female organs in so they can direct the radiation to the areas it's needed and afterward they would do the hysterectomy, so we need to make sure it's confined to my female organs before they rush to remove them. Thanks so much again guys. It's not fun going through all of these tests nor dealing emotionally with all that's going on right now, but I know that someone with much greater power than me is in charge here and I entrust all that I am to him. I am really trying hard to eat well and keep my weight up, right now that's a big struggle as well. Thanks for all the well wishes.
