One year ago yesterday

My life changed forever, when I came out of surgery I thought I had ruined my life. I was so wrong!!! If there is anyone out there wondering if you should have the surgery or not please know it was the best thing I could have ever done. I feel amazing! It has not been an easy road there have been many bumps but I would do it again tomorrow. I have been very blessed with the way my weight has come off. I know I am very lucky. It feels so good to be so much healthier. I have some loose skin but who cares I look good in clothes and I feel good walking down the street. I also am very lucky to have a very supportive Husband and family. I am down 140lbs from my high and 120 since surgery. If you are healthy enough to get thru the surgery please consider it, hopefully you will have the same good fortune as I have. Lea Ann

Hey surgiversary sister! Wow Lisa you sure have lost a lot in a year. You look wonderful!!! What's your goal? You are real close right? I know you feel amazing and you are so right, who cares about the skin, it looks better than when we were obese AND clothes do a great job of hiding our imperfections. Congratulations! Oh, I too regreted my decision to have WLS for about a week after surgery, I think that's very common. But after that, no regrets at all!

Hi Lea Ann... I think I had that brief moment of "I have ruined my life", too. Thank goodness it passed as quickly as the weight fell off! Congratulations on losing 140 pounds this year....you must certainly feel and look like an entirely new woman. That is a great attitude about the loose skin, as well ...."who cares?"...I wish that I could adopt that attitude...it would ease my mind so much! Best of luck to you throughout year #2! ~Suz
