Hi everyone! With a new year here...even though we're already 1/2 way through the month I'm going to try to at least start posting on the Monday Morning Weigh Ins. I'm looking for some new motivation to push myself under the 200 lb mark.

Lost just .8 this week for a grand total of 139.4 lbs. I'm joining a couple of "challenges" to help get motivated and to push myself. We're doing a Wellness Challenge at work - we're getting points not only for weight loss but also for exercising, bringing lunch to work, doing good deeds, doing something for ourselves, many other categories. The "kickoff" for this is Thursday so I'm excited.
Wednesday will also be the start of Lighten Up Iowa. It's a statewide challenge and I'm the captain of a team of 7 (including myself) and we're competing against other teams across the state for % of weight loss and total minutes of activity. I'm pretty pumped up for it so hopefully both programs will help me do well!
Looks like you're all doing really well - keep up the good work and talk to you next week....hopefully sooner though!

I absolutely love both of your new committements and believe wholeheartedly that being a leader and captain of a support group is what has helped me be so successful. I feel that I am looked up to and by gosh, I better be successful, so that others can be motivated and uplifted to reach their goals. Best of luck on this and keep us posted on how it goes. I love both of these and may even adopt some of the ideas into my support group (which currently has about 40 members (20 very active)). I may even see if the Women's association that I am treasurer of at work wants to do the Wellness Challenge at work, simply because I love the idea the concept. I might ask you for some details, if you are okay with sharing, etc.

Hey everyone-
Looks like a great week for everyone across the board!!!
Hubby still has pneumonia and the I spent the nite in the ER with one of the triplets with croup. 6 hours later, a steroid shot and a breathing treatment she's good to go. It was the first time one of them hasn't gone to school with the others. the boys seemed to handle that a little better than she did.
On a positive note I lost the weight i drank- I mean ate in Costa Rica. So that's good...

Holly - I am not sure how you do it with triplets. You must be exhausted. With the twins and my 11 yr old I am wore out by the end of the day. Sorry to hear that you had to spend the night in the hospital with your daughter. Is she doing better? Hope so.
LOL @ you losing the weight you drank huh??? WOW, I guess you did, 7 lbs??? HOLY COW!! Did you work out like crazy or starve yourself? I guess if it was jus****er then it came off by itself??
Actually I lost it over 2 weeks- and it came off pretty easily- I'm definitely NOT starving myself- so it had to have been mostly water...
I'm really not a big drinker- we'd just go down and sit by the pool after dinner and the bartender was always refilling my wine glass. Then in the afternoon I always had a frozen strawberry daquiri with the teenagers- and those are like 300 cal a pop...
I didn't exercise like I normally do- but was active... it just makes me aware of how easily I could gain it back...
Bryce is doing much better thanks- a little whiny- currently sleeping!!! AMEN!!!
