My one year surgiversary.....
I cant believe it has been one year already! I am a much slower loser than most of you. I have lost 85 lbs, and I am very happy about that. I have been having a rough time of it right now. I also have rheumatoid arthritis, so I am on steriods, which make it hard to lose weight. I have been having some issues with my liver. I had a liver biopsy last week, its related to the meds I am on for my RA, they think. But on the plus side, I am thinner than I have been in a long time. I exercise... Drinking 64 oz has become a part of my life. Eating mostly protein isnt a chore, its a choice, and it works for me. I still eat other stuff when I want to, but small amounts. I have found protein choices that taste good, and are good for me. I am so proud of the fact that after 1 year, these changes have become part of my life. I am so happy I decided to have this surgery.. IT was the best thing i have ever done for myself!
Celebrate your one year surgiversary with the knowledge that you are in much better health now than you were this time last year! Good for you for following pouch rules and being successful with your RNY. And, even if you think that you are a slower loser than most of us...don't even give that a second thought...we all lose differently and at our own individual pace. Your body is doing what is right and best for you. I hope that everything comes back okay on the biopsy...that was no fun, I'm sure! Enjoy your special day!

Happy surgiversary!!!!!!!!! Sounds like you are doing good, the exercise, water and working out. Yes, steroids can make your weight loss stall and even gain weight. I was on steroids about 2 months after surgery and I was gaining when I should have been losing. How long are you on them for? I hate steroids, but know if you need them you need them. I hope everything works out for your liver. Keep us posted. ***HUGS***
Are you going to celebrate for your one year? Do something just for you, even if it's just a warm bubble bath!
You have done amazing!
