Surgiversary Celebration Suggestions

Stephanie got me to thinking about celebrating my surgiversary on the 29th. She is going on a cruise, which I think is the ultimate great celebration idea. I can't do that right now. I also can't think of an appropriate big celebration idea. So I need your help. What are you doing to celebrate our 1 year....and I would like to hear some creative solutions. I am drawing a blank and I am bummed that I haven't thought about celebrating before now. My only defense is that every day is a celebration because I feel good and even though it is now slow, the scale is still moving down. I fit in chairs, people respond to me differently, I work out, I don't huff and puff except when I am working out really hard, and I fit in normal clothes. I am almost half the person I was but I am a different person all together. So I need to celebrate the 29th and I need those suggestions. Thanks ahead of time! Hugs, Katy

Katy--I was thinking of this today. My daughter gave me a nice gift certificate to a local spa so I think I'll get my very first ever massage and facial. I was always too embarassed to get a massage when I was heavier, but what a way to celebrate! Congrats on your 1st year and here's to many, many more wonderful, healthy years for us! Jen

Pampering sounds good, but I want to do something too and I can't think what. You deserve the pampering! What a great gift your daughter gave you! Hugs, Katy

A spa sounds great! Have them serve you fresh fruit. Take all day to yourself. Whatever you do, do it up and make sure it's something that you truly love! You have done amazing and deserve to be rewarded!!

You are so sweet Janie! I am just having fits trying to figure out what to do. I know it sounds silly but it needs to be significant and I am drawing an absolute blank. I can hear echoes in my brain when I think about it. I am having a "lights are on and no one's home" moment that is last way longer than a moment. LOL On a wow moment, I went bike riding today for longer than I have ever done....since I was a little kid anyway. My hubby and I are exercising together now. Tomorrow we work out with the trainer again. I am loving it and it is making a difference I think. I am going to do more pics on my surgiversary. Hugs, Katy
