Monday Morning Weigh Ins
Hey..where is everyone hiding??? It seems like the closer we get to our surgery anniversary...the fewer people we have posting on our forum. I guess most are at goal and not really interested in posting but....even if you are at goal and maintaining...those of us who are still working to get some pounds off would love to have you pop in and say hi!! It could be the holidays too and things will pick up again soon. Alice from our board made a wonderful suggestion this weekend that we pick someone from the Jan 2008 forum and kind of adopt them.....find some who shares your surgery date or a date close to it and ask them if they want to partner with you as a resource for them as we are now almost WLS graduates. I already found me someone to adopt and I appreciate the suggestion from Alice! Well enough rambling...here are my stats:
Not such a great loss but I will take it!! Especially after Christmas eating!!

Lost 0.2 pounds.
But I know that if I stay the course by exercising and eating right...the pounds have to leave! The holidays presented a challenge for me and I have been dabbling in carbs and sweets...but starting next Monday I plan to refocus and get back on track. My goal is to lose at least five more pounds before I go back to the doctor in Februray for my one year check up. See you soon!!
Hey Stephanie. I'm still here. You are right, I've been super busy with the Holidays and the girls have been out of school for 2 weeks. Can't wait until next week. lol! Hey, that's great that you didn't gain during the Holidays. I did unfortunately and like you, I was eating carbs (spinach dip and bread, cracker and cheese). I gained 3 lbs but since have lost 2 of those lbs. It might have to due with me ovulating though. Not sure if anyone else has this problem, but when I am due to ovulate I gain a couple of lbs and then on day 2 of my period I'll lose about 3. Back to the program now. I do have to admit it was nice eating those type of food, but not gorging myself!

Have a great week everyone!!!
Hey Janie!! You are right....it was nice to indulge but not over indulge like I would have in the past!! I am starting to incorporate more carbs in my diet now but I am so afraid...how crazy is that? I got some of those Wassa crisp bread thingys and they are whole grain and then I bought a south beach diet wrap and had that for dinner on Saturday...It was so good but I am still timid about eating those carbs...even when they are whole grain...how crazy do I sound? I just feel that it is not realistic to nerve eat breads, rice, pasta or potatoes ever again..so I am trying to learn how to choose healthier options. I will be serving brown rice tomorrow for dinner as well...but such is life.
And I did not even think about not gaining weight during the holiday..Thanks for pointing that out forme!! I am excited now! Woohoo!! I was thinking I "only" lost .2 pounds... Hope you have a wonderful week and a Happy and Prosperous New Year!!
Hey Jan. buddies. I think Alice's idea was great and I'll start looking for someone to adopt this next week too. Thinking back, I wish someone had done that to me, but my Caters (Katy B) was a real help and inspiration for me along with the rest of you guys who continually encourage me. I have so much to celebrate and thank God for tonight but I still expect a greater year in 08!
Here are my stats (which I'm still in awe over...I can't believe this is my body now...)
HW 242
LW 138
CW 136
BMI 22.6- Goal was 138.
Happy New Year everyone!
Lori
You go on with your bad self!! And wear those 10...while you can...I am sure those will be getting baggy soon too!! I think alot of us are in the stage of bouncing up and down with the weight...but we still have few more months to loose. You have had amazing results so far! Keep up the good work and Happy New Year to you as well!!
And I am so happy to hear that you have been cleared to exercise again!! Have fun!
