Tattoos

I am scheduled for surgery for Jan 22. I was wondering if I get a tattoo, would that effect the surgery?

I would wait at least 6 weeks after surgery to avoid possible infection. If you get the tattoo and were to get any inftection from that it could hinder your surgery greatly, the same as if you were to get a tattoo soon after your surgery. Anytime the immune system is compromised, like with surgery it is always best to avoid other things that could make it worse.

I would also wait so your tattoo doesn't shrink along with you .

i agree with both posts. you dont want any kind of infection to disrupt your surgery. also from experience...my tattoos that once seemed huge are now much smaller.
