Avatar Question

Okay- I think I am losing my mind. I went into my OH, then to My Account, and changed my URL for my new avatar, but the old one is still showing up a half hour later. Is there someplace else other than "Profile Color and Pictures" under My Account that I need to change the URL? THANKS!!!

Love, love, LOVE the new pic in your profile. You look great. I know in the past it's taken awhile for my avatar to load. Give it a little more time and check and see if it shows.

I posted the same thing before and some wise computer people told me that I needed to clear out my cookies and it would show up because they were seeing it. Hope it helps. Katy B

Well, the next day and the avatar has still not posted. (Thanks Janie on the compliment on the pics... I actually had ones that I looked WAY skinnier in, but you could see my nasty-dirty front door in the background and I couldn't stand the thought of posting it!!!) Katy- I don't even know what cookies are, so unless I can clear them out by eating them, I need some help! lol! I'll go back and see if I can find your old post.

You are so funny! I love it! A computer cookie is not edible. It is sort of like a trail that makes it quicker to get to your previously viewed webpages. If you haven't gotten it yet, go up to the top menu on your computer screen where it says "File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, Help". Click on "Tools". Then click on "Internet Options". This pulls up a screen that may be worded slightly different depending on your version XP, Vista, etc but there is a section that talks about clearing cookies and history. You can click on that but just know it also clears out your passwords. So you will have to retype those as you go in and out of pages. If you are nervous, get someone to look over your shoulder and check what you are doing. Hope this helps. Hugs, Katy B

Try going to main Forums and to the left I believe it is user settings. That's where you do it for the forums I believe. Try it and let me know if it doesn't work. I just changed mine there and it showed right up. Anna
