Tara and Steph- I LOVE the new avatars- you guys look awesome!!! I'm up 2 pounds- I ate everything in sight this week and only exercised twice. I am fully convinced that carbs are evil- atleast for me. WOW- if I start eating the crappy processed foods I just crave them and it seems like there's no end. I get lethargic and just feel gross. Of course it took me almost a week to see that...but atleast i made the connection. I could also actually feel my thirst and then experienced the old habit of eating even though it's thirst I feel. Bad bad habits that I thought were long gone... I'll be working the tool again!!! Getting the crap out of the house tomorrow... I'm saying now that I will see you next week with the 2 pounds off that I gained!!! Holly

Thanks Holly!! And making the connection on the carbs and getting rid of them is a bitg step! You are doing good and in the past we would not have made that connection nor would we have taken the steps to change the behavior!! You know you are not alone, I too struggle with wanting carbs....I have been craving pancakes for a few weeks now and I think I am going to indulge this weekend, in moderation of course. Talk to you soon!

Late as always here! HW 276 LW 185 CW 184 SG (Surgeon's goal) 168, GW (my goal) 135 - keeping my eyes fixed on the prize and pressing on! I lost one lb of the 2 I had gained last week. Just bouncing around! The good news is I'm cleared for exercise this week following a 6 week ban post-hysterectomy. Woohoo! I walked 2 miles yesterday and did about 2/3 of my Firm Cardio Sculpt tape. Feels great to be all muscley sore...at least it means I'm moving again. My plan is to increase my protein and calories a little the next couple of weeks to counter the additional activity. My desire is to be well into the 170's within the next week or two, and maybe dip into the 160's by 1/01. That'll be a reach for this slow moving metabolism, but I'm hoping the exercise will boost the weight loss some. Have a great week!! Margaret

Good luck on reaching your goals!! We can work towards them together! I am wanting to have lost at least half my body weight by my anniversary, which would put me at 163.5 (My highest weight was 327). We can do this!!!

Good Tuesday Morning, January Lovelies!! I can't believe it....this is the first time I have been an entire day late to post to weigh-ins. Things have been super busy since Thanksgiving...lots of family obligations, my daughter started her wrestling season, my other daughter started riding the bus to school and there has been lots of drama with that (more trouble than it's worth, IMO, but she really wants to ride), I had a huge test in A&P that I have been studying like crazy for, and decorating and shopping for Christmas seems to round out the list. As for the drama that I expected to happen on Thanksgiving...dh's sister never even showed up!! I was actually a little disappointed...I was sooo ready to deal with her. Maybe next year since we will be going out of state this year for Christmas. Anyway, on to the numbers: Surgery/high: 251.5 Last week: 145.2 Today: 145.0 Loss: Huh. Lost a staggering .2 pounds? This is starting to look a lot like maintaining!! It seems that I may have literally stopped on a dime like I was afraid I would. I hope that everyone had a peaceful holiday full of thanks and gratitude...I did. ~Suz

Hey Belle! I read your post on your PS consult...congrats to you!! I would be so excited about that. And the fact that insurance will pay for some of it...that is an extra blessing. Shoot...you will lose those 3 lbs for sure with your PS. Good luck and keep us posted
