Stacey Roth (Deuce1966) had surgery today!!!

Hi gals, I'm a close friend of Stacey Roth (aka Deuce1966) and fellow OH'er. I thought you all should know that she was hospitalized last Friday with what they thought was a kidney infection. She went home on Saturday, but due to the pain, and oral pain pills not working, she went back to the ER and was admitted with them running various tests. Two cat scans and an ultrasound later, they determined she had a stone stuck in her bile duct. She had surgery at 10:00 this morning at Grinnell Regional Medical Center (Grinnell, IA). I know she's on OH everyday and would want you all to know where she has been. Also, just as a note, this stone was NOT related to having gastric bypass surgery. Please keep Stacey in your prayers as she recovers. I will keep you updated accordingly as I am going over to see her this afternoon at the hospital. Thanks!!!! Jill aka: Jillybean1969

Thank you so much, Jill, for being kind enough to let us know about Stacey's emergency. I'm so glad to know that she seems to be doing okay and is recovering. We will miss her while she's gone, but certainly understand that she needs to focus on getting better. I look forward to your updates...and thanks again! ~Suz

Hi Suz~ Stacey is doing well. They got the stone out of her bile duct and also found she had a hernia too. She is in pain and tired - thank goodness for morphine - except for the nausea. She did say she's lost 4 pounds since Friday! She's supposed to be discharged on Saturday and somehow thinks she is going to her son's football game on Sunday! It's his college championship game. Oy vey! I'll keep you posted on her recovery until she's able to post for herself. Jill

Jill, Thank you so much for letting us know how she is doing. Wow, I don't guess any of us knew she was having difficulty. I am glad to hear she got help right away before it caused more complications. Give her hugs and let her know we hope to see her up and posting again soon. Thanks, Lindy
