Family pics on my profile

Well, this is a first! DH and I and the kids had our pics taken together as a family. We are going to use the one with him on the floor and us surrounding him on a Christmas cards. We didn't want to do a Christmas background because we want to keep the pic up past Christmas. I have never had my pic taken with my family professionally for obvious reasons. It felt so good to feel normal and take a pic with my family and not hate the pic. I used to hate to look at pics of me. So, check out my profile! The resolution of the pics aren't that good, they were just downloaded from the website. When I get the cd I'll load better pics!

That's such a coinsidence that you showed these...I was just telling my husband that we should do the same thing this year. Funny how losing 100 or so pounds can make you less afraid to show yourself . I liked the one with your dh on the floor the best, too. And, you look like a sister, not a mom!!

Awwwwww thanks Suz! For sure you and your family NEED to get your pic done. I can't wait to hear what people say who don't know I had the surgery and who haven't seen me since January!!!

Janie, Those pictures are wonderful!!! I would be proud of those family pics if I was you, too. It's amazing how we radiate in pics now. My mom is on me about the same thing. We did family pics last OCT before Bob deployed to Iraq...just in case something happened to him, I wanted to be able to have a family pic. Though I DID NOT want to get in front of the camera. My mom keeps telling me she needs a new family pic of all of us because it does not look like me at all. I have had to promise her that we will do them as soon as he gets home and knocks the Iraq sand off of himself! haha I'm looking forward to getting in front of the camera this time. Stacy

Stacy - thanks so much!! Oh that must have been scary taking a pic last year, just in case. I am so sorry you have to deal with that everyday. Bless your heart and tell your husband thank you for serving his country. He should take great pride in that. And yes as soon as you guys get acquanted again (lol) go get that family picture taken!!!

OMG- the one of you guys sitting on the floor- I had to look to find you- you totally look like a kid!!! Great pic!!! Nice clavicles!!! I LOVE the one of you and your husband- very cute- your face is starting to change again. YOU LOOK GREAT!!! How much more are you planning on losing? Holly

Thanks Holly!!!!! It was so nice being able to take a pic with my family now. We don't have many of me before WLS. Ok, I have to ask. What the heck is clavicals? LOL! I googled it and I think it's those bones under my neck. Are those suppose to be there? I don't think I like them. lol! How much more do I plan on losing?? Hey, your BMI is lower than mine. I think mine is 22. something!

Yes- that's what clavicals are- but I wasn't sure how to spell them. I kinda like seeing them. Busted on the BMI- but you just look so much smaller. I look a lot bigger than my BMI... seriously- I'll try and post a recent pic when my daughter is home from college for T-giving. You look great!!!

I love the pictures! We are doing the same thing as well. My family pictures from 2 years ago look really outdated. My boys have grown so much and I have "shrunk" so much...hubby looks the same So we are going sometime within the next week or two as well. My oldest son turns 16 next week (Tuesday) so I have to get a sweet 16 picture... He'd love knowing I said that...haha Anyway I took a photo with my husband last night just for the fun of it and posted it here. I also posted it to my myspace and I got a phone call from an old friend at 7am today saying "I can not beleive how skinny you are, and I'm so jealous" I wasn't really sure how to take that. It's almost like people can't stand the thought of Lori (the big girl) being smaller than them. I know many moths ago we all had that discussion, but it EEERRRKKKS me!
