Margaret, Good luck on the 5 day test. I hope you get good results. You can do it..just get back to those "Pouch Rules". I think the test will help you break free from those carb cravings. Are you feeling better after your hysterctomy surgery? I know I am finally feeling better. I sure had the low pain tolerance that you mentioned as well. Hugs, Lindy

Hi Lindy, I'm on day 3 and doing great. I've had a pretty bad headache the past couple of days, a sure indicator for me that I'd become addicted to refined carbs again. I'm looking forward to having something more solid today, but really the liquid phase (Day 1/2) wasn't bad at all. I'm really feeling much better now from my surgery. Thanks so much for asking! I've been off of pain meds for a few days, actually drove yesterday (I feel so grown up!!), and did not one, but TWO mile long walks around my neighborhood yesterday. Thanks for your encouragement!! Margaret

Mornin' Ladies, HW: 283 SW: 275 LW: 177 CW: 177 I was 176 yesterday, but back to 177 today. I just can't seem to get past these upper 170's. I know I need to up my exercise, but that's always easier said than done.

Mary, Your avatar pic looks great! I'm beginning to think there's a force greater than man that is keeping us in the 170's!! haha I've been smelling the 160's for weeks but, it's just out of my grasp! Stacy

I am back on track this week as well. I am no longer on the estrogen patch that I think was causing blotation...so I lost what I had gained last week and a little some. HW: 232 SW: 228 LW: 135 CW: 131 Total loss for the week 4. (Remember 3.6 was gained back oddly last week, so real loss is only .4, but I am back on track...YAHOO!!) Total loss = 101 lbs BMI 23.2 Feeling great and hoping to get into the 120's this next week. Hugs, Lindy

Great job, Lindy! 101 lost and 4 pounds this week is wonderful! You'll be in the '20's before you know it.

Good Morning all! I seem to be having similar problems...I'm at a plateau. Didn't log on last week as I was away again on business. Here's my stats: SW:272 LW:172 CW:172 It's been two weeks and I haven't lost anything...and I've been going up and down the scale between 1-2 pounds daily. I'm not unhappy about this as I did lose 100 lb (in 9 months)...my doctor told me a few months ago when she asked me about my goal weight and I say around 150...that I might not be able to get down below 170. I would truthfully like to lose another 20 lbs...but I havent exactly been 100% disciplined. I've been eating some carbs lately as I've been having a hard time resisting. Everyday when I buy my coffee it seems I've been buying a muffin as well! Of course I don't eat the whole muffin, just a bite or two, and I keep it in my office frig and poli**** off throughout the week - I know that 1 muffin a week isn't bad...but it's more than I was eating while I was losing weight! My surgeon would def not approve if she heard I was eating these carbs! Plus I also have been eating some candy (not alot) but on Halloween I took a few candy corns and this weekend I was at a family bar mitzvah and did eat a small piece of cake... I've also tried to increase my exersize but it seems that I'm so busy or too tired that I cant get in more than 3 days a week (if that)! Thanks for letting me vent. I shouldn't be so hard on myself as I'm really doing great, but I know that I can do better. I feel that I've stalled both on the scale and in my efforts. Is anyone else or has anyone else had that 100lb stall/plateau? Have a great week everyone! Best, Beth

Hey, Beth...I didn't have a stall at 100 lost, but I can imagine how frustrating it must be for you. I find that the carbs have been calling my name, too! That darn Halloween candy is screaming it!! But, remember that we do need some to keep our brain working properly...so don't feel bad about eating a muffing over one week's time! Just continue to put forth your best effort at making the best choices possible...but don't feel bad about having something just because it tastes good once in a while .

Beth, I wanted to say ditto what Suz said....having something like a muffin a week is not such a bad thing...the key for us now is moderation. If you totally try and not have the things you want, you will be more likely to go over board when you finally do have it. Does that make sense?
