First bodyshaper [my thoughts]

It's funny what we do to make ourselves look better. I picked up a 2 for 10$ deal at wal-mart just to see if it would do anything. I wrestled it on and I must say that I am disappointed. I still have a pannus. I thought it would disappear. I look nothing like the woman on the picture. j/k. I must say it's not the best bodyshaper, but it does what I wanted it to do, which is make my stomach appear even instead of lopsided. I've definitely been converted. Do any of you have any of the semi expensive bodyshapers? Any tips on brands?

I really like Assets (made by the same people as Spanx), but cheaper. I got one that goes up to right under my bra so it smooths my tummy and also the rolls around my waist. It never rolls down on me and the legs stay in place too. I think it was around $20 at Target. I love it. Jen

Yes, try assets. I like it too. Although, sometimes it'll not stay where I want it, right up to my bra then you see the line through my shirt. I think it might be because I bought a small and really should be in a Med? Not sure. I got mine at Target. Give it a try!

Bodyshapers are amazing. With the one I bought, I've easily went down a pant size and everything looks more "together."

Stacey, thank you so much!!! I think I still need to lose more, but just in certain areas. Areas that probably won't go down without PS. KWIM? My stomach and arms are the worse too. It's like the more weight I lost, the flabbier (sp?) my arms got. I've tried working with weights and I am building muscle, but still have the loose skin. I am very happy though with how far I've come though. Thanks again. I just went to your profile. You look amazing girl!!!!! I checked out your before pics too. You have come so far. Nio, I don't wear the assets all of the time. Just when I really need that support in my tummy depending on the clothes I wear. If I wear tighter clothes, then I get the flabby stomach and the assets help with that. They aren't too uncomfortable to wear, but I do feel a bit restricted in them. You should go to Target and try them on. They do work!!

You dont need to lose anymore weight Janie... Your going float away if you do... I would suggest toning.....with weights... More reps.. less weight... Like do 5 reps of 20 with little weight... My arms bothers me more that anything, So I do alot of toning with them. Thanks for the compiments...Somedays I see it more than other days.. I ran across this pic the other day of me.. and thought.."wow I didnt feel that huge". LOL Thanks for the info!! When I was shopping this week I seen some spanex that you dont have to pull down to pee.... it has a opening... LOL WILD... talk to a girl there that swears by them.. Stacey

that is too funny, a little opening down there. I love it!!! My luck I would pee all over myself. hehehehehe!!! OMG I totally hear you, I look at before pics of me, and I was kidding myself, I would say "I'm just a little overweight!!" I am so, so thankful for this surgery. Ok, regarding toning. How many toning exercises do you do? How long does it take? Do you have any toning exercises you could share? I've been doing toning and I can tell a difference, I mean I'm getting muscle, but the loose skin is still there. Like the underneath of my arms. Does that make sense? And then there's my stomach. I can't seem to get rid of that. I know that PS is a sure bet, but there's no way to lose just a little of the tummy without PS? Thanks!!

I have never worn a body shaper. However, I do wear No Nonsense Great Shape Pantyhose. They are great for tummy control for around $3.50 at Wal-mart with $1 coupon inside. They also have some hip and thigh control with enough spandex to smooth everything out down to your toes. Lifted my butt a little bit as well. Or is it just a continuation on my back. I wear them just about everyday for light support. Just enough support to stop the jiggles
