Monday Morning Weigh In
Stephanie,
Not sure if you are around this week...so hope you are okay with me doing this post.
This week I became a member of The Century Club! Woo hoo!!!
Here are my stats:
SW:272
LW:176
CW:172
I don't know how I lost 4 lbs this week, but I did have stomache problems...
Nevertheless...tomorrow will be my 9 month surgiversary and I've lost 100lbs.
I cannot believe it! It's so exciting....
Hope you all had a great week as well...Looking forward to hearing from you my surgery sisters and brothers.
Have a great day/week.
Beth
Drum Roll Please........I made it to the Century Club on Saturday.....I weighed in at 132 even. Today I am even a bit lower. I guess I did what I said I would do and rocked last week to get the weight off.
I am definitely "Happy Dancing"
I can't believe that I have come this far in just a little over 9 months. WOW is all I can say.
HW: 232
SW: 228
LW: 135
CW: 131.4
Total loss for the week 3.6.
Total loss = 100.6 lbs
Now my next goal is to get to 130, because that is what the weight loss estimator states is my IDEAL weight, but I really want to get into the 120's. After looking at myself in the mirror, I know I need to loose at least another 10-15 lbs. Either that or I have got to get some toning action going on.
Good luck to everyone this week!
Hugs,
Lindy
Good morning to all. Sorry I haven't updated here for a while. I'll update you on my situation. On 10/10, I was rushed to the hospital via ambulance from work with severe abdominal pain and vomiting. At the hospital I was rushed into emergency surgery. Scar tissue was strangulating my intestine. According to the surgeon, my bowel was black from lack of oxygen and I was bleeding internally. It was corrected, however, due to bleeding internally, my iron levels dropped severely and I ended up having a blood transfusion. I was also having problems with my heart rate being too fast. I was in the hospital for 6 days. Discharged the following Monday afternoon. They had to reopen my original incision and I am starting all over. I get sick almost everytime I eat. It hurts like hell. My stomache contracts almost evertime I put something in there. I had to deal with the incision pain yet again. This time it was easier because I didn't have all the weight against me. I healed quicker, however, I am still uncomfortable. On my check up with the surgeon to get the staples removed, I asked him on a scale of 1 to 10, how bad was I. He stated 9.5. He stated that if I didn't get this corrected soon, I would not be here. WOW. This is scary. Thus, I have lost weigth quicker since I have been discharged from the hospital and here are my stats:
10/15 Discharge (10 pounds of fluid as well) 170
Two days after discharge 160 (loss of fluid)
Week and a half ago (Estimate) 155
This morning: 148.
Since discharge 10/15, I have lost 22 pounds. Keep in mind 10 pounds of fluid. Total: 12 POUNDS lost since 10/15/07.
I'm am doing much better and am back at work, actually since last Thursday.
If anyone has had to deal with this same issue, will you please let me know how you are doing and how long it took to feel normal again.
Oh my gosh, Laura...that must have been awful for you to go through. I am glad to hear that everything is corrected and that you are now on the mend and gettting back to normal. Is this something that the surgeons are fearful could happen again? Or is it likely a one-time condition? Take care of yourself!! And, for everyone else...take these kinds of symptoms very seriously!
Laura,
OMG! How or why did this happen? Did you get any answers?
I am so sorry that this happened to you, but happy that you made it through.
Makes my pains and pouch growling (and discomfort) seem like nothing!
I am curious to hear...i would demand some answers.
Hang in there surgery sister.
best,
Beth
