Ok people.. have seen this on the boards all over the place... Is everyone eating enough??? Not eating enough really causes stalls... and NO weight loss. Your body wont lose weight if you are not eating, it goes into starvation mode.. Here is my deal... Before surgery I would skip meals... over eat, eat the wrong things, etc... very Poor habits.. Since surgery... I eat something every 2-3 hours... I eat 6 times a day... I eat breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, supper, snack... It keeps the metabolism going.... IF I dont do this??? My scale WILL NOT MOVE... As soon as I step it up a little, eat more... I lose... My weight loss has really slowed down... But Ive never had a week where I havent lost. Its hard... cause we all associate gained weight with over eating... but its really about more than that. Its what we eat, how we eat it and how often we eat it. We all have a great tool.... and were all doing awesome... I hate reading you all being discouraged..were all different, take a good look at 10 months ago???? WE are all doing so awesome!! Keep the positive attitude... remember its not just about the #'s on the scale its about measuring too! Ive only lost 5lbs this past month... but I dropped a size!! I'm Proud of everyone!!!! Stacey

You are so right Stacey, I just said that too Holly in a post, I find that if I don't eat and drink enough water in the day I either gain or stall. I try to eat 4-5 times a day. I've even eaten a little carbs here and there (from lean cuisine or healthy choice meals) and that hasn't made me gain, so I'm glad. Oh, I tried the LC Pannini's. They are great! I can't eat all of the bread, probably half and then I eat the chicken from the other half. I'm just glad that I can eat normal and not gain! I am also proud of everyone. Like Stacey said, look where you were 10 months ago, we've come a long way!!!!!!!!!!!

This is something I addressed with my NUT a couple of weeks ago. I've upped my gym time to an hour or more 5 days a week. (usually) I hit a stall last week "early" for me.. usually they hit at around 8-9 weeks for me, for one week. THis last one hit only 4 weeks after the last. We'll see how it goes for weigh in tomorrow. At any rate I asked my NUT if I was eating enough considering how much I am working off in the gym. She said yes to keep it the same. But I don't think she really "got" how much I am working off. Even though I stalled I did see a big difference in size & body adjustment. I only take my measurements once a month though.

Great Post Stacey!! I had not seen this on the main boards but it is so true. If we dont eat enough our bodies will go into starvation mode and we will not experience the weight loss that we hope for. And you are so right...ALL of us have had amazing results...and when I look back at the pictures from December 2006....All I can do is praise God for this wonderful opportunity He has blessed me with. I too am so happy to "know" each and every person that posts on this board and to have them in my corner when I need to be uplifted and encouraged when I need it most. Thanks againfor this wonderful post and reminder. Steph

Stacey, Thanks, you are so right! I'm going to give eating more a try, but more of the right stuff. Adding in exercise was the right choice (duh! ok, I'm a little slow hehe... actually, just a lot lazy) but making the right food choices at the right times is just as important. I think you hit it on the head, we all associate eating more with gaining... but I've totally stalled so time to give it a try Thanks again, and grats on your going down a size this last month! This is such a good reminder. It is so easy just to not eat anything until you get hungry and then the floodgates open... I do so much better on the days I get my protein in first thing in the morning- I just need to be consistent about it!!! Thanks- Holly
