Frustrated with clothing
Hi Tara -
Yes - I would say that is frustrating.... I know that I dropped sizes gradually as I lost weight. I never really buy alot of clothes because they would'nt fit w/in a few months. I started at size 24 pants and now I"m a 14 , pushing 12 and it's been almost 10 months. I know that i'm a big boned person though so I don't think I will ever be 4 even at my goal weight, which is only 29 pounds away. Maybe it has to do with where one carries their weight ......going from 28/30 to a 4 in 7 months seems abit crazy, but I guess it happens ??
Your doing great though , don't get discouraged 140 pounds is amazing. Keep up the good work and maybe you will see a big drop in clothes real soon.

I hear a lot of people talk about changing sizes weekly etc. I am just now 8 months out and went from a tight 28 to a loose 14 (12's here I come.) That is about a size a month. I think a lot has to do with body shape and height. Tall people can carry a heavier weight and be thinner than short folk like me (5'4"). Also body shape has a lot to do with it... for instance I am apple shaped & my mom is pear shaped. She weighed less than me for years but wore larger pants than I because of her shape... plus she was small on top and wore smaller tops than you'd have expected. Try not to let it get to you. I know it is hard to not compare to others... but it can only drive you batty. Hang in there.
Girl, I feel ya!! I started out in a 4X or 26/28. I am wearing a 1 or 2 X or a 22 now. Ive lost 137lbs so it sure seems like I should be in a smaller size. Even another poster said she started in a 28 and is in I think she said a 14 now!!! But I do have a rather large panni. I dont know about you, but I think that makes a big differance. If it were gone (and hopefully will be in Janurary) I think Id be in a smaller size. Also, i tend to wear my clothes loose anyway, really to hide my sags and bags. It is frustrating tho!

Seconding the baggy clothing thought here lol... and also, keep in mind that the larger sizes have a MUCH larger range of weight/inches per size change than the smaller sizes.
30/32 to 26/28 is a huge difference, hold them up next to each other and then hold up a 16 to a 14 and you will see... so hang in there girl! I and a lot of others are there with you

I started around a 28/30 and I could wear those clothes FOREVER it seemed like. It wasn't until I got to around 220 pounds, and about a size 20, that the sizes started dropping more quickly. I dropped 8 sizes in the first 80 pounds, but have dropped 6 in the last 30. I don't quite get it, but I bet yours will start dropping quicker too when you hit the size 20/22 range.
